  2. 37 cruises and travel all over the world and not once have our prescriptions been questioned or even looked at! And we have many and carry many vitamins in plastic bags with no markings, I do have pictures on my phone of the containers just in case but have never been asked about anything!

  3. Hello! Thank you for all the great info on the forum! We are new to Regent (one prior mass market cruise) and will be on big anniversary cruise on Mariner in May. Since early retirement I live in jeans. Does “casual” on Regent include jeans prior to 6:00 p.m.?

And Regent which used to be very formal no longer has any mandatory formal nights! I retired at 48 how about you?

  4. Never received a rebate. Do you do paperwork after you cruise to get this? We only get AmEx platinum benefits. Usually book penthouse or concierge.

No paperwork. The rebate comes from the agency, I have the proof in the emails they send me they told me they have to do it this way as Regent does not let them discount there fares directly.

  5. The Emerald is the one where a guy Murdered his wife a couple of months ago with his 3 kids on Board cause she would not stop laughing at him, very sad. Our last cat died three years ago we love cats but because we travel so much we did not get another one but we really miss not having one. We have not been to South America much that’s why we chose the cruise. We have been on the Emerald before and it’s not a favorite but it was the itinerary.

Plus we had enough miles to fly back business class!

  6. First cruise on Regent. They said the Irish Whiskey they have is Jameson but I like Tullamore Dew. What do you think about bringing some of my own on board?

They would love you to bring your own liquor, and not drink theirs, I’m sure they would be happy if you bought a cooler with your own steaks and lobster. LOL

  7. Isn't hind sight great !

My wife pulls that one on me all the time. ;)

Princess seems to be holding on to the formal routine to make it seem a notch above the other lines when in reality, it's not really enforcing the dress code to any great degree.

It probably increases photo & wine sales tremendously.

Well even Regent which is a all suite all inclusive luxury line, and used to be very formal has done away with formal nights.

  8. When we bought our stock it was $24.50, and we’ve gotten the OBC many times, we have two cruises coming up soon so will get another $500 plus the stock has more than doubled! Only wish I had bought 1000 shares, we are Elite with Princess and our next two cruises are in Penthouse Suites. Just wish Princess would do away with formal nights as many lines have.

  9. Based on research, on cruises over 16 nights there are two "formal" nights. When does one know what nights are the formal nights? Do anyone actually wear a gown these days? My husband will have a linen sports jacket, but there won't be a tux, that just takes up too much room in a suitcase!

There are no more requirements for formal nights on Regent, where what you want. Of course no casual such as shorts or tee shirts

  10. I definitely do not expect free laundry on a mass market cruise line without earning the perk, and yes I think loyal Regent cruisers like TC2 should get perks not available to short timers like myself who only has 42 days on Regent I just feel on an all inclusive luxury cruise we should not be doing our laundry! Other incentives such as on board credits or free upgraded tours or suite upgrades or whatever, but doing laundry on a luxury cruise is like staying at a five star hotel and having to make your own bed!

  11. Well, just saying!:halo: Oceania Cruises just printed in their brochures " NEW! Exclusive Privileges for Concierge and above

Free Laundry Service - up to Three (3) bags per stateroom per cruise!" Wow, now that's a perk! Since Oceania is a sister company and Regent states it's The Most Inclusive Luxury Experience at Sea--is it only a matter of time. Let's hope so as this is a great perk. IMO, Rick

As far as I’m concerned they should have free laundry now I’m Elite with Princess (15 cruises or 150 Days) and we get free laundry all cruise. And the cruise is a fraction of the price of Regent. We are taking a 31 day on Princess this December in a Penthouse Suite its costing 25K. I’m taking a 21 day with Regent in 2018 also in a Penthouse Suite it’s 36k and don’t even get free laundry! Cause we only have 42 days with Regent. All inclusive should be all inclusive!

  12. Just about every cruise we go on my wife gets a cold which turns into bronchitis and lasts from 4 to 10 weeks, I rarely catch anything and if I do it only lasts a few days at most, it’s a real problem but we love cruising maybe I’ll get her a hazmat suit to wear during the cruises LOL
