  1. when we cruised with my in-laws they had a handicap room and it was plenty big and overall a nice room. Our only issue was the thresh hold getting into the room, my father-in-law was pretty frail and he could not get my mother-in-law's wheel chair over that hump. Even when I pushed her, I would have to get a little bit of a running start.

    Enjoy your trip!

  2. Have booked a cruise on the Escape in April 2017. I've paid my deposit, and my final payment is not due until January 27, 2017. Can anyone tell me if the price I booked goes down prior to my final payment, will NCL make a downward price adjustment if I ask? Thanks

Ours dropped $100 a week or so before final payment was due. Called our travel agent and she got us an adjustment. Then the price of a balcony dropped to what we paid for an ocean view, I called her and she got us a balcony!

    So in short, yes!

  3. DW thought it might be a good idea to call NCL today to see if there were any upgrade offers available for our upcoming Getaway cruise leaving on Sunday. Much to my surprise they offered us an upgrade from our inside cabin to a Mini Suite for $275 USD. We jumped right on it of course and grabbed it. After I hung up and had a chance to think about it I suddenly wondered if there was a Spa Suite available so about 2 hrs later I called back and much to my surprise I got a Spa Suite for the same price! Sauna for the week baby! Can't wait.

    That's great!

I have a question though -- was the $275 pp? or total?

    thanks!

  4. Yes, it's easy to use public transportation to get from Oceankaj to the airport. We did it last July and there is nothing to be leery about--you won't get lost.

As Danish Viking has spelled out in Post #4, there are basically two ways to make this trip and you would just do it backwards from the airport-to-Oceankaj routing he gives. (Also, if you click on the link he provides there, you can see the pictures he took so you know what signs to look for along the way.)

When we did it, we walked off our ship and over to the main street where the city buses stop. We got on the special cruise-day 25 bus and paid the driver for a Zone 2 ticket (24 DKK). We got off the bus at Norreport Station and took the elevator down to the Metro platform. We got on the M2 Metro to the airport and that was it. Everything was well signposted and folks are happy to help out if you have any questions.

You can also look at the routings by using the Trip Planner on http://www.rejseplanen.dk

    Thank you!

  5. Is there public transportation from the airport to the ships port, Or do I need a taxi.?

    I'm interested in the opposite...

We need to get from the cruise terminal in Copenhagen to the airport to pick up our rental car.

    Easiest way?

I'm fine with taking public transportation but husband is leery (he doesn't think we'll be able to find our way around).

    Thoughts??
