Today's the day we will be getting on the Getaway!!!!

I could easily book everything myself. In fact, I have the website pulled up as though I'm going to book, I know exactly what cabin I want, and exactly what the price is going to be.

 

 

 

But I use a PVP. He's great.

 

 

 

He never calls me just because I've been browsing the website. I've been known to go online and put a hold on the cabin I want, email him to let him know, then he calls me within the time limit to get my credit card number for the deposit. I don't need to give him the booking, but I think he deserves the credit for it because of all the small things he does for me, even though - at the moment - I've done all the work myself.

 

 

 

If I need ANYTHING, I can send him an email or call him and he takes care of it right away.

 

 

 

That is why I use him - to deal with the exceptions. I can handle everything routine myself. I just really like having someone there I can rely on and who I know knows what he's doing and talking about.

I agree with you110%.... I do the same exact steps. Today I did all the work and called (he might as well get a sale perk cuz I can't lol) I could only see my November 21st cruise offer letting me online choose a cabin on Deck 1 or Deck 2 but he asked, what Deck do you want to be on? LIDO I said. And he says, I can get you hooked up wherever you want to be!!!! And he did! Had I booked online myself I would be on the Riviera deck!!! I think he's GREAT!!!

I so Loved your review. Loved the honesty posts and loved seeing the real pictures. You know the blurry kind with quirky shots that you might not post. They were real!

I will be honest here about ME. Last month I spent a week in Galveston and did venture in to the ocean a few times. Murky as it was I love the ocean cuz here in Utah beaches are not to be found so, I enjoyed the water. Then from Galveston I ventured on to a cruise just 2 days later on the west coast. I only used the hot tub three times on the Serenity deck but, just two days after my return home I started feeling horrible. Long story short I thought I was gonna die so off to the dr I went. After several tests I was told I severe bladder infection. Dr. said could have been cause by the ocean water or public hot tubs and or pool usage. Just sayin....

I think I have about 14 Carnival cruises under my belt in 11 years with Carnival and I got Two Free cruise offers in the past 3 weeks. The first one came in the mail and I booked for next month. Then yesterday there was the another offer online in My Offers and I booked for October. These offers were the very FIRST time I have ever been offered such a deal. Most likely random Casino Players (I play the penny machines and not a lot at a time) at least that is what I think.

Not sure why I got TWO West Coast offers this past month... One in the mail (booked for next month) and then today online (booked for October). Lord knows I do NOT play the slots that much on a ship.... But, very thankful.

And maybe, I got these offers cuz I am on the west coast and I did deposited a couple hundred on each of the two past cruises... who the heck knows.

I got the Free Interior offer in the mail about 3 weeks ago and booked the same weekend I got the offer. I saw no offer online. But, today there is the same offer online. I wonder if I can use that one too?

(trying to search on the website but, it won't take me to any offer. Just in the searching mode)

Made me look at mine. My boarding pass doesn't say anything but, my luggage tags say, Priority. Which is right for being Platinum.

I looked at our friends info (yes, I know their login info) and their boarding pass looks like mine and their luggage tags say F2F. And they did purchase the FTTF option.

So, to me everything looks correct.

Rayefan, We already had our Disney trip planned when our "free" cruise came in the mail. It didn't take too much to twist DH arm and make him go. lol

 

The OP tricked us. We are all waiting to hear how the rest of your trip went. ;)

How could you even pass that offer up? And Disney on top of that makes it that much better, right?

Looking forward to the rest of your review. We added this to an already planned Disney trip in 3 weeks. Can't wait.

If you go to your booking on the Carnival website and then click on "my guests" and hit edit for the person, there is a place to mark "sharps container" and it should be in cabin for you....if not, ask cabin steward for it.

We did this 2 years ago next month on the Magic. It was beautiful and peaceful. Everything was set up for us. We met at a given time and we were escorted to the lower back of the ship. My father was in the Navy for nearly 27 years. This was his wish. The captain and another person took us. We held a quiet peaceful gathering of about 18. When it was time my three sisters and I had fluted glasses with a little bit of ashes in each glass. We said our final goodbyes and one by one we scattered his ashes of the back. We cried and smiled and said goodbye. A day I will never ever forget.
