I told my husband that he can order dessert from the kid's menu ( all these cruises and I was never aware) and that banana split is one of the options. He is so ready!!

This is like a blow up thingy that you sit in and it is pulled by a rope really really fast by a boat. In Aruba the two seater was called "Big Mable" and the four seater was "Great Big Mable".
-
We did that in Aruba. I don't remember what it cost, but I just remember that we laughed hysterically that entire ride. It did beat you up a little. They recommended that you not wear your glasses and you really had to hold on for dear life.

According to JH, the Pride CD from 8/28 - 10/23 is Leigh Xuereb, who I have never heard of before. Steve Knisley returns after the 10/23 cruise.
I believe he just started with Carnival after having been a cruise director with Royal Caribbean. You can find him on You Tube.

I liked the in-shower lotion. I can't even find it in the stores anymore but Nivea started selling something similar that is good too.
Mine was the Olay In-Shower Body Lotion. I have been using it ever since.

As you can see from my signature, we love the Pride and sailing from a port that is 15 minutes from our house. That being said my one trip from Baltimore in the winter will be my one and only! Apart from being unable to utilize outdoor decks (and I think that would be worse on kids than it was on us adults) the rough seas especially coming home on the last sea day were really bad....the one and only time I have been seasick on a cruise.
It sounds like you have decided on a further south departure port and I think that is a wise decision. Enjoy your cruise!

When Carnival did have this service it was called Luggage Express, but it has been discontinued. We used it a few times and I agree with you....I love love loved it also!

We booked with a PVP and when our friends called him to link with our booking they also needed our pin number.

I was doing some research for my niece in hopes of convincing her to sail with us with her two little ones. In the search feature I just typed in camp. I found a review and if I knew how to give you a link I would but this is what it was: Carnival Fascination Camp Carnival/Family Review. The poster is: sararebekahquinn This is from last summer, but it will give you some idea of the activities. What I liked about it is that the schedules are attached in PDF form which made for easy reading and in my case I was able to print them for my niece. Hope this is some help for you.

Do you remember how much this cost you? I have always wondered.
I am pretty sure it was right around $10. $1.99 per minute as a previous poster said.

Calling from the cabin phone is probably the easiest. Not necessarily the cheapest but a short call is nice now and then just to hear her voice and know how she's really doing [emoji4]
I made a call from the cabin and few cruises ago when someone very close to me was hospitalized. Although there was nothing I could do it was just so uplifting to hear her voice. I just made sure I kept my watch in sight so the time did not get away from me and kept the call to 5 minutes.

Turn on WJZ-TV (we have comcast so it is channel 23 or 212). This is one of our local news stations. You can see the ship when they show the harbor area. Also WBAL-tv (21 or 211) which comes on earlier than wjz sometimes shows a shot where you can see the ship or see it coming in.
Be patient. Sometimes it takes a few commercials before they show that shot and sometimes in the very beginning (8am for wjz) but we watch it every week on WJZ-tv.
Watched WJZ this morning and at 8:45 a live shot showed Pride already docked. Will have to try WBAL next week. Just can't get enough of the Pride!

I have not traveled with teenagers, but have often seen the suggestion to set up a specific meet up time and place during the day just so everyone can check-in with each other.
-
We also were a group of adults (9 of us) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

I think I am enjoying this thread! Thank you so much. I am sure it has to be a lot of work.
-
Great start! Looking forward for more. Thank you.

They notified me via email when it was implemented for the port of my next cruise. They should notify you as well.
We sail out of Baltimore in October and have not received the e-mail. Some do and some don't, can't explain why.
-
Can't wait to read more. We love the Pride! Will also be sailing on Oct. 9

I am in the minority, I enjoyed the pool at Margaritaville. There were two ships in and the pool was not crowded at all. We did order nachos which were grossly overpriced and not very good at that. We won't make that mistake again. I believe we each had a margarita which was good but can't remember price. We will just get off the ship early and then be ready to go back aboard when it is time for lunch.

What a terrible way to end a relaxing cruise.
I agree. We are looking at an 11:20 out of Jacksonville and even that is making me nervous, but the alternative is 6:25 and that seems like wayyyy too long to sit in an airport.

We have been to Paradise beach twice, loved it and that was even before they had the pool. Will definitely go back next time in Coz. The food and service were superb!

We sailed Pride from Port Canaveral one January and the day we returned it was 32 degrees. I can remember that Lido was so crowded inside that I had to go outside to find a table to eat breakfast. Not my most enjoyable embarkation breakfast!
-
Thank you John that is what I was hoping to hear. And I am hoping that cabs are readily available at the port when disembarking?
-
Thanks for the interesting ship tracking information.
Is the gangway still broken in Baltimore?
Another poster said the gangway repair could take another couple of months. They were told that by the captain on the behind the fun tour.

According to sea-scanner it looks like Pride is not in yet. She is in the harbor but not to the terminal. The last few weeks she has been tied up by 9:00. I wonder if the storms in the Atlantic slowed them down.
