I want to be clear...I definitely have no problem with someone spending $$ on vacation...I hope I didn't come off that way! I just wanted to know what drew people towards NCL vs. a luxury line if the prices were comparable. My friend and his girlfriend did a Regent cruise last year (Baltic, I believe) and I think it was somewhere along the lines of $25,000. From what I understand, all of the rooms on a line like Regent are large suites with concierge service. For me, the deal breaker on a line like that would be the dress code (I'm a jeans and tshirt kind of girl and I'm pretty uncomfortable in anything else) and the age of the cruisers (less family, more retirees).
Believe me, I hope to be in one of the Haven suites one of these days! :)
$25,000 for a cruise?! Wish I could afford that! I typcally cruise once a year and, after my second cruise, only in a suite. I'm booked in a Haven OS on the Jewel in September and paid $6000 for two people - including airfair and pre/post hotels! The hotels were booked with NCL and they include transfers to the port (pre-cruise) and to the hotel (post-cruise). :)

I have a count-down clock on my phone.....been running since day 550! Now we're down to T-166! It's been a loooong countdown but it keeps me sane during a terrible day at work! Am I giddy - you betcha!!! I pull that beautiful little thing out of my pocket at least 100 times a day just to remind me why I work so flippin' hard!;)

I've gotten good information from sweetpea143 but I'm really interested in finding out if this suite has a second, smaller bedroom. If you look on the NCL website, you can definately see a bump-out for 9202 (thanks for pointing that out, Sweetpea143!) but not for 8202. Why would two suites of the same category and price be different?
Thanks for you input!:D

Thanks for the pictures! It almost reminds me of the AD suite I was in on the Sun (expect for the second bedroom). Heck, I think I'd sleep on a chaise on the deck just to get out of gloomy Michigan!

Thanks for the info! I have been on the NCL site and looked at the 360 - I'm noticing what looks like a tiny bedroom in the background--am I seeing things or is it wishful thinking? The NCL floorplan doesn't indicate any other room.
Also, I'm reading conflincting information regarding the sq footage. The NCL site puts it at 561 sq feet and cruisestateroom says it's 218. That is a HUGE difference. I can't help but wonder if cruisestateroom in wrong. I'm hoping that NCL wouldn't make that big of a mistake in measuring their rooms.
Thanks for the offer of pix! Do you have them posted anywhere? If not, you can either post a couple here for everyone to enjoy (because you know someone else will also have questions) or you can email them to me at: peltonrenee@comcast.net
Thanks for you assistance!;)

I just upgraded from a BA to AC 8202 and was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the suite. I've searched on here as well as Webshots and Google and can find nothing!:o
I'm also curious about the room itself. I read on another website that the room is only 261 sq feet but the NCL site puts the ACs at about 500 sq ft. Anyone know the answer to that one?;)
Can't wait to enjoy the time away from this Michigan "summer"! I don't think we've had a day over 82 yet!

After my September cruise, I'll hit 75 points....which means my cruise next August I'll still be gold. Darn, looks like I'll need to book another cruise so I can cruise Platinum!! I do try to keep my cruising to once a year in a suite....except for this year because it was my 50th birthday. Maybe next year I'll continue on with my birthday celebration and cruise right before my 51st!!
