His prices are E 45 = $49 per person/$98 couple for the short tours and E 55 = $60 per person/$120 couple for the longer tours. Compare these prices with what Holland America is offering and you’ll understand why I’m trying to put together a small group.

His website is: Azoreantours.com . Once there, click on Shore Excursions to see the different tours he offers. To make it perfectly clear – I do not get any “kick back” or discount by having others book a tour. The owner needs a minimum number of passengers to run any of the tours which is why I am reaching out to fellow passengers. My wife and I are favoring Excursion #1 or Excursion #4 but would consider all others. If you do book a tour, please reach out to me via Messenger of leave a comment on Facebook indicating which tour you’ve booked.

Thank you and I’m looking forward to the cruise.

Drcody have you filled your tour? What option did you choose? Room for 1 more?

    Thanks so much.

AND Do the bars in the public areas under the lightshow ceiling area have "outdoor" seating? I can see myself grabbing a table and people watching then catching the light show.

    Thanks!

I found some you tube videos... I see there's lots of seating/viewing areas to watch the ceiling shows!

  3. Hi Jamie,

Two questions, the Bamboo solarium area looks like it has a retractable roof. Would you say if you wanted to lounge/relax/read, was it warm enough to wear a bathing suit/cover up on the 1st and last sea days?

AND Do the bars in the public areas under the lightshow ceiling area have "outdoor" seating? I can see myself grabbing a table and people watching then catching the light show.

    Thanks!

P.S. Having followed you and your solo gang in another MSC blog, I too was horrified to read of Ted's incident, like many others. So so glad he's better and could make the "back"!

  4. Yes, also curious about when you found out about St. Thomas replacing St. Lucia... port/tax credit? I "heard" you get a little something refunded if they change the port while onboard.

Also, have you heard about tomorrow, are you going to St. Kitts?

Your review and pictures are fantastic, so helpful Thank you very much for taking the time to post!

Is the festival mostly on the streets up near the forts or will there be crafts or music on the streets right near the pier in Old San Juan? And will it be super crowded there as well? Due to bad knees I seldom make it all the way up to the Fort area. Thanks

Following this question. We are scheduled to be in San Juan on Sunday the 19th, on the Anthem of the Seas...

  6. 😊 Hi do any of the beaches above offer snorkeling equipment and/or jet skies for rent? Is snorkeling even good in Antigua? My cousin is interested in doing a bit more than lounging with a book in the sun (me). Thanks!

  7. Hi!

While making reservations for the Grofton at Tivoli Gardens I was asked to choose a seating area. I tried a translator app, however some words didn't translate. Would you be so kind and assist?

And if YOU were choosing an area, which two would you enjoy the most and why?

Thank you so much Danish Viking for your help!

  8. Hi! I am researching a private tour, and we will be 4, including my 80's parents. This is for the Anthem next January.

I do need a little more info on the Royston tour, although if we booked him privately, I'm sure he would accommodate the seniors (No scooters, no walkers, mentally delightful, just my Mom is a bit slower on the walking...) What is the max for the van? Is the pickup VERY near the ship? That's what I'm most concerned with, with my Mom. Thanks for your advice and guidance.

for sure we will all be up early to see the sights sailing into Geiranger

    HI SCOOCHY, WHICH BLOG?

HI SAMAN, I've HEARD YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET UP EARLY FOR THE SAILING INTO PORT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO... THAT YOU CAN SEE THE SAME SIGHTS ON THE WAY OUT. LOVE THAT IDEA!!

  10. Hello DV, many thanks for all your posts and advice!

How "fancy" are the restaurants in Tivoli, specifically Faergekroen and Pagfuglon? We're going to be in daytime attire for touring. Are jeans ok to wear to the restaurants? The websites show lovely people in lovely outfits and I don't want to be insulting by being underdressed. We'll be going on a Saturday night, May 25, with the reservation probably around 6:00 pm.  (18:00).

    Thank you so much.

  11. Sprung for an aft on Celebrity Solstice cruising Alaska in 2015. Yes the walk was long but the 180 degree view of the scenery was amazing. Sailing Norway fjords in May 2019 on the Serenade, and grabbed an aft again. The walk wouldn't matter even if it was a larger ship, because this is a bucket list cruise and it's all about the view, incredible view!
