Hi, we are thinking of flying into Orland/Sanford airport on Oct 3 2015 via Allegiant air and was thinking of renting a car at Enterprise car rental and was wondering if there is a enterprise car rental location at Port Canaveral and if not is there a area I could park the car for a 4 day cruise. I have been looking and the weekly rate is as cheap as renting the car for only a few days . I have ever cruised out of port Canaveral so I have a few questions before I look into this vacation more seriously. Our Allegiant flight is Saturday to Saturday so we would have a few days around Orlando as the Carnival cruise is a sunday to Thursday 4 day cruise. Any info or other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you renting a car in Sanford? I do not know if Carnival has buses to that airport. It is about 1/2 hour North of Orlando airport. I did a 4 day on Sensation in August of 2013. As long as there is not an American Holiday you should be good. Most students are in classes during the week so it is a bit less hectic onboard. We had some kids , but not many. It was a nice relaxing cruise! Enjoy!

Hi folks, been away from cruising for a few years but have 7-8 carnival cruises under our belt. All cruises 7 day out of Miami, Ft L and Tampa. We have a short week available for a 4 day cruise out of Port Canaveral. My question is what's the 4 day bahama cruise like on the Sensation during the first week of October ? Any and all info on this would be greatly appreciated. We are in our early 50's and mid 40's so we are not party animals and kinda like it quiet on the ships. We are going to the Hockey game in Sunrise florida on Thursday march 12 and we need to get to Tampa by air on Friday march 11 2015 . my question is are there flights from FT Lauderdale airport to Tampa airport or are there flights from smaller airports in the area. I need to be in the Tampa Westshore/Airport area so Tampa airport probably my option to fly into. So my question is best way for us to get from Ft Lauderdale/sunrise area to Tampa by air on Friday march 13 1015. Any advice is greatly appreciated on airports to use and airlines that serve both cities . Thanks

Will be in the Ft Lauderdale area on Dec 5 for a hockey game and leave for Tampa on Dec 6. We fly in on Dec 4th so we have the day free on thursday Dec 6 and want to hit a beach for a few hours. What is a good beach that is easy to get to from the Plantation area for a few hours and maybe a few other suggestions for things to do in the Plantation /Davie area. I will be Tampa for a 1.5 days. I will be going to a hockey game while there so I need a few ideas on things to do for 1 afternoon on Dec 6th and a full day on saturday Dec 7th with the hockey game on the saturday night.We are staying at the Sheratoon in the airport/westgate area and we have a car rental. Hi,I am thinking of doing a week holiday in Freeport after our cruise out of Ft Lauderdale. A week from feb 8 to 15 2014. We have a chance to stay at anew hotel that will be called the Memories Grand Bahamas Beach casino.Apparently they have taken over another hotel and renovated it. Anyways my question is is this a good place to go for a holiday to Freeport and has anyone any info on this newer hotel that is opening any day now. All info is much appreciated. Thanks from canada

Just wondering what people think of the Freeport Bahamas for a week vacation after out cruise out of Ft Lauderdale ? Never been to the Bahamas except nassau for a day trip on a cruise a few years ago.there is a new Hotel opening called Memories Grand Bahama Beach Casino. Should be open any day now. Going to a Hockey game on Dec 5 at the BB&T arena in Ft Lauderdale where the Florida panthers play the Winnipeg Jets. I am staying at the Sheraton suites hotel in or near Plantation on University Road I think and was wondering if there are taxis available outside the arena to get us back to the hotel as we are probably going to have a few beers there. Flying in with Delta and was wondering finding the Enterprise car rental place at the airport pretty easy at FLL airport ? And then after we rent the car we need to get to the Sawgrassmills mall area for our hotel. is it pretty easy to get from the airport to this area ? Thanks

Just go to hotwire and get a hotel in the Westshore/airport area. Great hotels with shuttle from the airport for well under $100 a night. Taxi to the port is about 20 -25 bucks tops from this area. I agree with last poster rare to find a hotel that will give you both airport pickup and port drop off for free.

Ya not a bad hotel,I got the same one off hotwire for about 75 bucks a night last febuary. A good wine and liquor store just down the road and a outbacks not far also. Pretty close to the beach area. The hotel has a shuttle .
