7288 sleeps more people so most likely the pull down will be by the slider, making the bed by the closet. The balcony size is not that big a difference (if at all). The Equinox is a great ship.

We are on the Princess Train from Denali to Whitier before our cruise. Has anyone done this? Wondering if you have storage (like an airplane) for carryon? Also, does it make ANY stops or just one long train ride?  Is one side better than another for viewing? Thanks.

We will be on the Grand in May. So the pool will be covered, but is it heated

Thank You, I did check regulations and the size is good except for the wheels. 

I'm thinking of using a 22x14x9 suitcase for Alaska. This size does NOT include the wheels. Has anyone had an issue of this not fitting into the overheads of the airlines? Thanks.

Make sure you have enough ports to charge your devices. The outlets on the ship are extremely limited. Do not take a power strip that has surge protection. It will be confiscated. Ship current is not the same as you have at home. Power strips or extension cords without surge protection are fine.

We just got off the Equinox and boarded the Apex. What a difference. The Apex is hands down superior. Not only selection, but quality and quantity. The Equinox was mediocre at best.

Does anyone know of a way around the non refundable OBC?  Can I go to the casino and have them give me cash?
