I have twice sailed on HALs Pinnacle class ships using CO . The first ship (KDAM) in Jan2022 I booked an aft Vista suite through a TA. I later to decided to Add CO to my cruise, After paying for CO they offered me an upgrade to a Neptune suite for $330 per person which was melded into cruise fare.( yes got spoiled) Understand cruising had been just resumed. I then went on to the Rotterdam TA in Oct but after the experience on KDam I called to add CO to the cruise. I enjoyed the perks so well I booked anther cruise on the NS while on the Rotterdam. I booked. with the advice of the on-board future cruise director, I booked the lowest vista cabin. After returning I had the TA add club orange and the moved me to the highest-class Vista suite . I paid $25 per day on 7-day Kdam and 15 per day on the other two which are both 15-day cruises. I had no waiting on first cruise but had up to 10 minuities on the Rdam. I enjoyed the early boarding and separate lines at cruise services as I am a minor mariner. You do have or have your TA call for the upgrade and pay for CO at that time

Rich,
If I may. What is your rating in the aviator YN or CT.? My old eyes fail me. I was a PHCS that served 15 years with NSG between 61 and 75.

Thanks to all folks who took the time to answer my Questions. Now to make the difficult decision but with a $15.00 a day for my cruise of 15 days It makes things a lot easier. SSD

I am new to HAL but have various cruise experience with NCL and 30 years on USN plus on TransPac on American President Line's President Cleveland. I am booked on Anniversary cruise on the Rotterdam in Oct 2022. I am booked in a Aft Vista Suite. I would like to know difference between and that Vista suite. Also, I wondered what is " Club Orange"?

You'll get a great view of the runway from the upper decks. If the flight path is on that runway you can practically see the pilots as they land. There will also be an old fort on the starboard side as you sail out. That is part of Castle Island and people will be waving as you go by, maybe even me 🙂
There is the classic Boston Light house( inactive) on Little Brewster Island that's a good Photo OP also. SSD

Hi everyone,
First time starting a cruise from Boston. I have been there many times, but have not started a cruise from there. Just wondering if the pier is organized and if the on and off procedure is smooth. Thanks in advance!
Boston is about average , not as good as New Orleans but better than LA. SSD

Have any cruisers that recently sailed on the Pearl noticed any upgrades in cabins? I am mostly interested in mini suites but would like general answers also. Some cabins pictures show before but not after refurb I am particular concerned about numbers and location of110 outlets and USB outlets. SSD

Thanks for the updated link. Your folksy and informative videos are a big improvement over generic NCL Posts. Thanks again for the new link.SSD

I like this Video but unable to see the second part. Only received first 13:48 mins of this.Any way I might see the second part. SSD

I have traveled with NCL including the Pearl(4 times) but not since the line offered "free" specialty perk. With my platinum rewards I have a total of six to use. I was wondering the need to scheduled all the choices before the cruise or be able to walk up after I see the choices in the Main dining restaurants and entertainment. Any suggestions? SSD
Nieuw Statendam is doing a great job.
