  1. I've gotten off the ships before , but it had to be cleared with security. I don't feel it's routinely done as an option.

It doesn't have to be cleared with security, it's very common for people to get off the ship and sightsee at the port of embarkation.

Guests wishing to sightsee after boarding the ship on embarkation day

After checking in and boarding the ship, if a guest wishes to disembark the ship to sightsee at the home port, they may do so as long as they return at least 30 minutes prior to ship departure. They will need to carry with them the following:

    Travel documents including photo ID

    Sail & Sign card

    Check-In Boarding Pass

  2. I think it's a great idea...hopefully people have their littlest ones inside by 12 am....those are truly the ones that should be sleep by that time. 12 works great for me...but I'm from a 24 hour town that never sleeps...lol

Same here,I will be up regardless of what Carnival does, so this is a nice option for those that are looking for something to do late at night.

Every move that make won't accommodate everyone.

  3. Do any plans allow you to use Skype

Premium ($25 USD per day) – From e-mail to Skype, our Premium plan promises the fastest possible connection, at speeds up to 3 times faster than our Value Plan. Supports Skype video calling, where coverage allows.

  4. Not sure why others have had problems... I purchased the premium package and was able to stream Spotify, Netflix etc perfectly

They probably haven't actually used the premium package. Speeds have come a long way in a short period of time and at a very reasonable cost.

I personally just use Rhapsody's 3 months for $1 deal when I travel/cruise and download for off-line use. My library even has a nice free media download service called hoopla that I use for both music/movie and audio books.

  5. This is a video of the solo balcony on Quantum with the large balcony

As mentioned there are only 16 on the ship, so they sell out fast.

For the best pricing its best to book when the new schedules come out this spring....after that they are hard to find on most itineraries and the prices jump considerably.

  6. Super Bowl Sunday

    When: February 7, 2016 and*February 5, 2017

The game (as well as pre-show) is shown in various locations around the ship. The main venue will be inside the main show lounge and/or on the Lido Deck, at Carnival's Seaside Theatre (featured on select ships).

Bar service will be available as well as complimentary snacks throughout the game.

    VIP Seating Challenge

‘Sailgating’ Games (Ladder Toss, Washer Toss and Bean Bag)

EA Sports Bar pool (featured on select ships)

    NFL Trivia/Prediction Challenge/Sport Challenges

Specialty cocktails (named after winning teams)

  7. Where did you get these prices? I just went to the NCL's website only to see the prices as:

    $449, $499, $649 and $999 as the pricing.

Does this mean I can not trust NCL's website for the latest pricing?

Oh, I looked again the price the OP quoted are for the Jan 31/2016 sailing!

You have to keep clicking through to get the actual price. There is a glitch on the NCL booking system, that will show a higher price.

I see those low rates for the 1/24/16 cruise

  8. There were on the Elation last week, every day, not at the same time or place, so pay attention to your Funtimes. I know Bill, who is Lois?

    Bill's wife

Lois Wilson, also known as Lois W., was the co-founder of Al-Anon, a support group for the friends and family of alcoholics.

  9. I just don't think they were that popular. They had to drop rates and offer many as casino deals to fill the ships. Plus some didn't like flying to/from San Juan.

I guess it's possible they could add some at a later date.
