  1. Thanks everyone for your replys, I'm going to take another look at some of the ports on this itinerary and make a decision next week. On our last cruise around the Caribbean the ports were lovely you could spend the day around them visiting café s & restaurants and doing a little shopping,
  2. Thinking of booking the Serenade of the Seas Southern Caribbean cruise but I'm thinking we may be a bit disappointed with the ports of call, I've been reading through a few reviews and also a live "I'm here now" report that showed lots of photos,It looks to me like the ship docks at places that look a bit like industrial warehouse estates rusty tin roofs etc., nothing like the docks I would imagine in the Caribbean. Can anyone give me any info or reassurance that it's the right cruise for us? Thanks in advance.😎
  3. Hi, Were from th U.K and looking to book a cruise through Royal Caribbean or Carnival. Can someone tell me if they have any sales (not sails);) coming up in the near future? prices are coming in at around £500/600 at the moment for a 4/5 day sail with balcony (if available) to Eastern Caribbean in April 2010. Any ideas how to better that price? Or would we get a better deal nearer the time? Thanks for any advice :)
  4. Thankyou, I will take a look at Carnival Destiny. What is their private island? This will be our 2nd cruise the 1st being on Freedom of the seas is there much differance between them, food, entertainment, cabin, and people wize.
  5. Hi, Can anyone tell me how i can find out which ships arrive back into Miami on a friday, saturday or sunday. ideally we would like a 3/4/ or possibly 5 night cruise. Is there a website that i can check with?
  6. Hi, A few weeks ago we were looking at cruises out of Miami for 3-4 days going to the Bahamas and the Grand Turks around April 2010. Now we are ready to book i cant for the life of me find this cruise all i can find is Miami-bahamas-nassau-Miami. Has any one any idea who sails this route? and who i can book it with, were in the u.k. Thanks for any help or advice you can give:)
  7. Has anyone done this? Ive just been browsing around the forum's trying to find some info these type of cruises. Ive only had the idea to do this in the last couple of day's so not really sure were to start. Who do you recommend for this type of cruise? We would like to fly from the U.K to norway! maybe do a 4-5 day cruise, Whats the best time of year to see the lights (im thinking Feb 09) is the sea quite calm or would we be in for a rough ride? What sort of prices are we looking at. Any info you have id be very pleased to hear it. :)
  8. We also went to seagrape beach and while we found it to be a really nice beach it was very busy, i think there were 5 cruise ships in port that day:eek: . and although there were many familys there i didnt think it was a family-freindly beach 2-4ft of water before a sheer drop of about 2-3ft We started to walk along the main road towards the main public beach when the bus just stopped and picked us up. When returning to the ship give yourself plenty time to get back as the buses fill up very fast and they pack as many people in as they can (12-15 in a bus).
  9. Didnt think they done online booking for the restaurants. In my opinion on FOS. Friday had the poorest menu also if you book at around the usual times for the dinning room seating ( 6.15 & 8.30 ) you wont miss any of the shows etc
  10. Just had a look in my compass for our sailing on FOS 4/13/08 western caribbean and murder mystery dinner was the 1st night (sunday) "who dunnit" interactive dinner show that includes champagne & hors d'oeuvres followed by a four course dinner in Portofino's with wine.$49.50 dinning fee per person applies (gratuity included) recommended for adults only Dial 3035 to reserve. Only 50 seats available. Hope this helps

  12. Hi, Were on FOS next weekend,:D im wondering whats the best way to get late disembarkation? When we get off the Freedom were going to South Beach for a few days before flying home, i know that check-in at the hotel isnt til 3ish so were in no hurry to leave the ship (who would be) so if we could leave later sooner than earlier that would suit us better..........I know you have to be off by certain time so they can get ready for the next lucky lot. Would we be better taking off our own bags or put them out the night before? Is it more manic the later you get off? Thanks all:)
  13. Hi, We leave for the FOS this weekend :) Can someone tell me when we should start taking our ginger tablets and Sealegs? and should we keep taking them for a few days after we get back on land?
