  1. I'm confused why people get a standing reservation after choosing anytime dining. We've noticed this happening quite a bit and I wonder if it's more for convenience time wise , or if a great waiter/table was discovered the first night. We've done both traditional and anytime. I like both, but find much nicer service with traditional.

  2. More on the odd side than wild and crazy, but.... My hubby & I were seated next to a table at dinner, where there was a 20ish guy, his boyfriend and boyfriends parents. The guy had a strange habit of putting his hand into his shirt and playing " nippler"as we began to refer to it. No other way to describe it. Every night, many times during dinner, his hand would be wiggling away inside the shirt. Don't know if it was a nervous habit or what, but I wonder if the boyfriends parents noticed. Hopefully they didn't notice our laughter each time!

  3. Tarte has a great self tanner, and also a waterproof bronzer, for instant gratification! I have used them both and love them. Neither are super dark, but perfect for light skinned people who want color but not crazy unnatural.

  4. We are planning on trying the All Inclusive package. After reading many posts on the subject, it seems like a personal decision, similar to paying for a table in specialty restaurant. Some love to enjoy the food and drinks that don't have added costs, and some like to try more luxury, high end, or whatever. Normally, on cruises we've been on, we get a bottle of wine at dinner, maybe a pre dinner drink, and morning specialty coffees. Never usually buy sparkling water, bottled still water or fresh juices or espresso after meals. I'm really looking forward to all of those things, plus drinks in casino or Bloody Mary's at breakfast. Also, there have been a few times a "drink of the day" had been a total dud. In the past, we sucked it up and drank it, or left it on a tray, rather than go back to bar and hassle bartender. It will be great to not feel like we are taking a risk by ordering something new.

  5. I can't resist mentioning, I used to dislike Indian food too. For years and years I'd try it once a year at most, with friends or whatever, but never enjoyed it, so I quit trying. A couple of years ago, I tried a Samosa...and thought it pretty tasty, yet continued to turn down curries, etc. Finally, on our last cruise, we went to the Publunch and Hubby ordered chicken curry. It smelled delightful, so I tried, once again, to see if I liked it. Yessss I did! Pretty amazing how tastes really do change over time, if you keep your mind open. Honestly, I haven't tried any Indian food since, but, I won't be saying I hate it ever again. I plan to order it on my upcoming cruise too!

  6. I am the same way! As I said in an earlier post, I am a germa phobe, also, and brought several bottles of hand sanitizer on my last cruise because of fear of the Noro virus. I, too, get upset with thoughtless, careless individuals that don't think about infection control. I do not fear the Ebola virus--at this point--because I know how hard it is to actually catch. We all just need to keep a level head and practice good infection control matters. There are other virus' out there that you are more prone to get on a cruise ship, with that many people in a closed environment.

I'm a bit squeamish about germ too, especially in buffet lines. We bought special sanitizers for hands that kill norovirus our last cruise because I read so much how regular sanitizers don't do enough. I always re-sanitize after getting to table before eating. Paranoid, yes, but it's really not much trouble and me and hubby stayed healthy. Of course we also brought the super wipes for room surfaces. Not fearing Ebola at all though, it seems so unlikely that it would get onto a ship.

  7. Hubby and I loved the spa area cuisine on Celebrity, but I could never master it. Funny since everything was simple. Probably needed the ocean breeze and gentle rocking of the ship!

  8. I love the regular Lipfusion, and had a chance to try the XL version...let me say first, the main reason I love the regular, is that it doesnt burn-at all. It makes your lips feel a bit "strechy" but no pain.

Anyhow, I happened upon the XL when I was moving, and kept it with me (couldnt find any other glosses at the time) I used it about three times a day (The instructions say to use it at night) anyway, when I woke up- WOW! My lips were VERY noticibly bigger, and a bit irritated, but not too bad, it actually gave them color for a change. I just put a bit of regular balm on them & they looked great (and large) for another couple of days!

Bottom line is- this stuff works! I still use it on occasion, but never three times a day! ;)

  9. I had my BIG 40 birthday in Vegas this weekend, and I bought some L'Occitane's anti-water retention gel along, just to see if it helped as much as the Elemis (which I am a HUGE fan of) My finding was that it helped a bit, but didn't give me the nice cooling effect that the elemis does-although it did help reduce swelling for both my hubby & me. I do miss the cooling sensation, so I think when cruising to warmer places, I'll stick to the Elemis! I also like that Elemis does double-duty by soothing sore, tired muscles!
