  1. Working again! Yay! Was able to get my beverage package purchased.
  2. Glad to know it's not just me. But also I hope they get it fixed before this sale is over because it's definitely the lowest price since I've been tracking it. I guess calling is an option, but then that means talking to people....
  3. Anyone else having problems with signing into the website or the app? They have sale on beverage packages today and I want to snag one as it's the lowest I've seen so far, but it won't sign me into the website. And on the app it shows my cruise and I'm signed in but then when I go to purchase the beverage package it wants me to relink my cruise but then won't do it. The sale runs the rest of the day but wanted to get this done while I was thinking about it and before I forgot or time got away from me. Thanks!
  4. Adding to this to say that if you're going to use the official Port of Galveston parking, if you use the promo code AlexTheCruiser24 you will get $20 off your parking. I don't know how long this will last. I used it yesterday and it worked. It also stacked with any loyalty points discount you have.
  5. I've used EZ Parking and then Lighthouse too, and they've both been great. But with the convenience of the new port parking to the RCCL terminal that's the way I'm leaning. And really the cost isn't that much more it seems. Which lot did you park in at the Port Parking? Did you use the shuttle service? Thx
  6. Have upcoming September cruise and it will be my first one out of the new terminal location for RCCL. Looking at the map the closest parking seems to be the official Port Parking. For people who have gone out of the new terminal is the port parking the best, even if more expensive? And which lot would you recommend. The new terminal looks amazing BTW and I'm really looking forward to seeing it myself.
  7. If you depart on time, usually by 6:30 to 7pm you've hit international waters and it's the full drink menu. And they'll still likely have the margaritas just maybe made with different tequila.
  8. I just booked a September cruise in mid April and got the senior discount. I turn 55 before sail date. It was $259 off, which I was super happy about. Didn't realize the senior discounts were so rare. So now I'm even happier to get it, even though couldn't believe at 55 I would qualify. But I'll take all the discounts I can get.
  9. Also don't TA get block of rooms? Or maybe they don't have specific rooms but so many per category? I know my TA will give me a list of so many per category that she has available. On recent one she didn't have any more balconies but had all other categories. It may just be how she runs her business because she's always putting groups together of her clients.
  10. Even without the double points, I'm going to reach Diamond once the cruise is complete and the double just puts me that much closer to Diamond+. I'm just missing Diamond by a few points too. I was closer and the last time they redid the levels I got further away. Oh, well, next time.
  11. When I was booking my upcoming solo cruise the TA I was using kept trying to give me a studio oceanview, which is 96sf. And even when I would search RC's site the first option that would pop up was the studio OV when I put in one person. I ended up doing an interior balcony. The price difference was like $70 more for the week to have the balcony and it's double the size. I could have done an interior, too but the price difference between a regular interior and the balcony wasn't very much so I opted to treat myself. Ha! The studio OV that is 96sf has the regular bed in it, which is nice but the room is literally the bed and maybe space to turn around in and the bathroom. And for many that is plenty of room, but even alone I knew that I wanted more space than that. And when the price difference is so minimal, it was an easy decision for me to go with the bigger room.
  12. I'm jotting this down. It sounds and looks amazing!
  13. This will be a solo cruise. And I've done Chops, Giovanni's and Sabor on other ships and they were all fine. Chops probably my favorite. Altho the margs in Sabor were very very good. I'm leaning away from doing any of the speciality dining or maybe will decide once onboard if I feel the need. I'll have some OBC to spend so maybe will use it there to treat myself. It looks like there are plenty of included onboard food options. I'll check out menus, photos, etc of the speciality dining and see if anything strikes me.
  14. Thanks @OCSC Mike for your quick response. My last cruise was in 2019 and on Liberty and the Oasis ship has so many more things to plan for it seems. Don't want to miss something. I'm doing Harmony. Is there any specialty restaurant that is a must? Not a huge foodie so don't plan to do the ultimate dining, at least I don't think I am.
  15. I recently booked a cruise coming up in September and this is first time on an Oasis class ship and I have to book some of the entertainment in advance. It hasn't shown up yet in my Cruise Planner. How long does it take usually to show up? Wondering when I need to really start watching. Also internet is around $22 per day right now. Is it likely to go any lower? Anything else specific to Oasis class ships I need to do before I head out? Thanks!!
  16. I've been watching the RC site debating on a cruise so I've been looking at prices. The offer before of OBC was actually a nice chunk. Started at $125 for inside up to like $600 for suites. Then the refund one started and the prices of the cruise went down. So basically they lowered the cruise price and took away the OBC. The cruise I was pricing went down little more than what the OBC would have been. So it's a wash, as most promotions are. I ended up booking with the refund one save the money upfront and not be stuck with a chunk of OBC I have to spend or waste
  17. It's been a few years since I cruised and I'm ready to hit the seas but nobody wants or can go with me, so I'm planning to go alone. So for those who have done a solo cruise, has it been as part of a bigger group or truly solo? And how did it go? Thx!
