I agree with you, they are doing the same thing on my Oct 16th cruise on the Splendor. If I want to give up my preselected room I can save $200 but where the hell will I end up?? I love Carnival but this seems a sneaky way to avoid the Early Saver price guarantee. :(

Loved the review!! We sailed the Freedom way back just after she launched. Can't wait to sail her again. Your review has us looking at doing her this spring.

That room is below the Gold Pearl Restaurant.

I never had a motion issue, but my sister does she has 1 green apple in the morning and another green apple with meals and 1 before bed and that does the trick for her.
My wife gets sick the 1st sea day, she eats the green apples the first day. She also starts with the ginger pills the day before and she bought those cheap Sea Bands at the drug store and wears them on her wrists. Works like a charm.
Good luck

Thanks, I'll tell my wife to take a bunch. :)

Great Review, love the pics.
Can you tell me if there were lots of hangers in the closet, just wondering if I need to bring a bunch for my wife's dresses. Thanks

Great review, we sail the Splendor in October and can't wait. Do you remember which night the Past Guest party was?
Thanks

If you go to this link on the Manhattan Cruise Port site is gives the dates and where ship are docking.

You can buy one with the soda package once you board the ship, they are all over the ship selling them. I usually buy my up on the Lido on my way to get something to eat when I board.

Loving the review! Keep it coming!! :D

Loved the review, quick and to the point. Do you remember when the VIFP (past guest) party was? We are doing this cruise in October and are trying to make plans. Thanks :)

Great review! Thanks for the great pics! We are sailing this itinerary in Oct and can't wait to go back to Grand Turk and HMC. We also love those islands.

Anytime!
Not many outlets!!
We did bring a 6 plug power strip, thankfully.
We also had a European conversion plug we used as well.
So, we had plenty of outlets.
Thanks, we'll bring a power strip. Was there one near the bed. My mom has a CPap machine she needs to sleep with.

I have all the freestyle dailies if anyone needs info from them
Hi,
I am thinking of going on the Gem and was wondering if you could send me the freestyle dailies. How did you find leaving NY, how long did it take to get warmer?
Thanks
Shawn

Thanks for the info. :)

Thanks for the info. I have never cruised NCL before, always Carnival or RCCl. I know they have juice dispensers in the buffet and out near the pools. Do you remember if the have free ice cream machines.

I loved the review! Very detailed. Do you remember if there are free juice station on the ship? Free drinks, coffee & teas? I am considering this cruise for Oct next year and am also wondering about the weather, will it be warm? Or should we take our winter jackets.
Thanks

Sheri, Loved the review!! Wondering if you remember if there are coffee mugs with lids available in the cafe that I can use to take coffee back to the room for my wife for Breakfast? Thanks!!
Good question...I had a lid on my Chai tea, so I would imagine you can get coffee with lids to go...Hope someone else knows for sure, though!
When we were on in Feb, they had lids behind the counter. You had to ask for them or if no one was around just reach for them.
They also have coffee on the Boardwalk at the Donut place. And they did have lids.
Thanks for the info! Glad I don't have to drag travel mugs. :D

Loving your review! Great to hear someone so positive about their trip. My wife has a touchy stomach and gets a little bit seasick. We read years ago about taking ginger pills to prevent sea sickness. You start taking them before you get on the ship and keep taking them as long as you feel bad. Cheap and non-drug. Keep up the great review!! :)
