  1. I arranged for an announcement to be in the compass on the 1st day as it was my husband's birthday. I called Crown and Anchor and they helped me do it. There was a $25 charge for it. Curiously, we noticed that there were no announcements on our last cruise on Serenade.

I called Crown and Anchor, and they said it has to be completed onboard. I'm hoping to reach out to the Diamond Plus concierge and see if it can be done through them.

  2. Please don't flame me for my question...

I am going on the Enchantment with my mom and son (14 months) in about 2 weeks. I was wondering if it would be a faux pas to bring my 14 month old to the Welcome Back party that is held on the morning of arrival in Nassau??

I've been to many of these but never paid attention to children being there or not. My son is super friendly so he wouldn't be a crier. I just don't want to be THAT woman who brought her kid and everyone else complains.

***Now that I wrote that he'll probably cry simply because kids like to make their parents out to be liars ;)

I've seen 3-4 children at the Welcome Back Party on smaller ships. Shouldn't be a problem.

  3. Catalina is at EN_Concierge@rccl.com

    Carlington is at EN_DiamondConcierge@rccl.com

These should be working links with an underscore already inserted after the ships letters.

I've seen announcements in the past in the first day compass although I think they were always placed specifically as guest services messages, not passenger messages. But hopefully if passengers can also have messages in the boarding day compass, the concierges would know how to do it.

  4. On Enchantment - Right now the concierge lounge concierge is Catalina. The diamond lounge concierge is Carlington. They will remain until mid way through June. Both of them are lovely people and provide excellent service.

    Thank you Gina!

Do you (or other CC members) know if they could help me place a guest announcement in the Cruise Compass on boarding day?

I would also need their emails.

    Thank you in advance!

  5. We have:) a grande suite for our next cruise. (on Indy) I know we can use concierge lounge. If there is a Diamond Lounge on the Indy ? ,if so, can we use that as well ? We are not ' Diamond' .....yet.

    Thankyou

The Diamond Lounge is available for Diamond, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle members only. Suite (Grand and up) guests may use the Concierge Lounge.

Have a great time on your cruise!

  6. Hi - myparents are going on the May 4 Western Caribbean Allure sailing. Can anyone provide their cruise compasses? My mom loves planning and this will help her! Also, if anyone has a copy of the Vitality at Sea menu she'd love to see that as well.

I'm on the Nov. 9 Allure Eastern Caribbean sailing and looking for the cruise compasses for that as well!

    Thank you!!

I found the Western Caribbean Cruise Compasses for Allure in this review. You will need to scroll through for the pictures of the Cruise Compasses.

I just found this, from February 2014.

UPDATE: THIS IS FOR EASTERN CARIBBEAN - MY SINCERE APOLOGIES.

  8. Are there coffee makers or refrigerators in the balcony rooms?

I have heard you are allowed 1 bottle of wine per person over 21, is that true?

There is a mini refrigerator - stocked full of snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Coffee makers are in the suites only.

You may take 2 bottles of wine (750ml) per stateroom. Policy is below:

  9. Of course one could argue that the size of the bottle should not be relevant in an unlimited package, larger bottles could actually reduce consumption..."16oz is all I want but now I have to get two 12oz's - that's a loss to RCCL. Unless there us another reason.

Good to hear on the Guinness and hope it is ship wide and not just a friendly barman! It was an asterixed drink last picture I saw so maybe they've seen sense!!

The Fosters Oil Can is 25.4 ounces.

I don't remember what the Guinness ones were - though I believe 16 ounces (maybe 16.9) was about right.

  10. I have read that not all beer is included in the select package for $40, but can anyone who has recently sailed and used this package confirm which specific beer is not included? And is that the same for the other packages also?

Chimay is also not included as it is a 750ml bottle. (This is the same for all packages).

Here's a good idea of the drink list. Beers in the pub are the first pictures.

  11. I will be sailing on Allure of the Seas on March 23. As a promotional deal, we received quite a bit of onboard credit for this cruise. I want to purchase my Premium Drink Package when we arrive (in order to use the OBC), however, I wanted to know if we would be charged tax since we'd still be in port in Florida.

When I sailed on Millenium (in 2011), they wrote down the drink package on a carbon copy receipt and manually logged it onto our bill when we were in international water (I'm assuming to avoid me paying tax).

For those that have purchased the package onboard and in a US port, were you charged taxes?

  12. Just a note: they do not remove anything. The partition either slides or swings, depending on the ship.

    :)

Thank you. I was searching for the right word, and knowing "removing" was not correct - I tried it anyway. :)

Guess who needs another cup of coffee! :D
