  1. While never going on a Carnival cruise.

    I'm a Celebrity cruiser.

A few years back.  While I was looking at the ship builds by company.

Celebrity ships of the same size as their Carnival counterparts cost about double of what a Carnival ship cost to build.

Kind of tells you that Celebrity packs more good things into their ships.

I’m guessing your sea pass card doesn’t have enough space for a Bluetooth chip and antennas

I’ve worn these type of bracelets on two cruises. I actually prefer them over carrying a card if the can be used for every day things like opening the cabin door, charging items, and getting on and off the ship. Much more convenient than trying to find where to put a card in a pocketless bathing suit.

So you don't have to have a sea pass card to get off and back on the ship?

One of my favorite go to rums is Ron Zacapa 23.  This is covered by the PBP.  I have paid the difference a couple of times for speciality drinks at The World Class Bar for Ron Zacapa XO but when I find a bar with Zacapa 23, I usually keep going back.

Our last cruise on Equinox the bartender in Michael’s Club went and got a bottle of Zacapa from another bar just for me.  Needless to say he received a nice tip.

    You know...

Why not a Rum bar on the ship....

  4. Never:

Carnival - age group too different

    NCL - Just not interested.

    Always:

Celebrity - Love it never a bad cruise.  Have made great friends onboard.

Royal - Still need to hit the rock wall and flow rider.

Azamara - well maybe...  If they are going somewhere I have not yet.

    Never again:

HAL - the crowd there is a bit too old for me - not enough activities.

Princess - I'm not interested in their 7 types of fatty meats at breakfast.  Problems with their onshore booking.

Private islands like Labadee and Coco Cay could be used if they apply strict controlled access to vaccinated persons only.  Including any locals that work there.  But they are not able to be used for home ports to base cruises.  But good controlled port stops for fully vaccinated ships.

Yes.  But how would you get the passengers out there.

Yes there is a work around.  The Specialty Restaurants are open to all passengers as is the buffet ( however they run it).    You are also able to dine with friends in the Main Dining Room regardless of your cabin type.   We did make arrangements with the Restaurant Manager the morning before we all dined together.

    Spot on.

We talked to the manager of Blu the day we embarked and he cleared it for on single.

Well, I fired my TA since "$200 commission isn't worth her time", my Azamara Nov xing and 2 Silversea cruises for 2022 are her loss. I've put up with her bad attitude for too many years, finally today was the final straw. I booked Aug 14, our first sky suite. Hopefully all restrictions will be gone by then.

    I have a sweetheart TA.

    Sorry about yours.

We're booked for the b-2-b's for 7/10-24, although it's booked as two separate reservations, in one cabin thankfully.

Suites were already sold out for those dates by 9am - we're going concierge level.

Great - I'll se you on the second leg.

    We're on 7/17

I’m new to Celebrity so I just wanted to confirm a few things.

I thought gratuities were included and yet they are showing as a booking charge.

I thought drinks were included but when I go to packages and deals in my account it says to buy the classic drink package for $59 a day.

During the booking process I upgraded to the Elevate package which covered drinks up to $15. It was at a cost of $30 per day and included $300 in credit for sure excursions. How come they on my bill it says $30 total instead of the $210?

    Thanks everyone 🙂

You may still have to say what three perks you want.
