  2. I did this last Saturday in Venice.

Was $99 in computer- which we paid but in the shore excursion pamphlet it was advertised as $49.  The people at the deak said it was a typo? but I did get a credit.

    ACTUAL DAY OF:

The written directions had pieces of conflicting info.

It said we could stay on til 2 but written elsewhere, said had to depart at 1 or 3.

The day of had to meet at 815. We sat for 45 minutes til escorted to security for visitor badges. Very disorganized.

Pool deck open but pools/hot tubs closed. No bars or places to get a drink- self service areas closed also.

Finally, we were told to meet at shore excursion desk at 1245 to be escorted off at 1. We went there at 1215 to ask to leave  eArly.

    They let us.

We found out luggage inside the port hall area with the luggage of others in a corner. NO ONE was around. I collected my bags and walked out. I could have easily taken anyone's stuff. No staff or security at all.

  3. These questions are for celebrity specific excursions.

    Question 1:

Is there a way to learn how many people are the max allowed on an excursion? I know some are advertised as small group. But what about the ones that don’t?

    Question 2:

is there a way to determine am exact itinerary?

    Such as

    bus 90 minutes

    then attraction 1 hr

    ect

    TIA- Jill

  4. You can have different packages for those in the cabin. Just off Equinox yesterday- husband had the basic soda and I bought 1-2 drinks (alcohol) a day from our OBC. Drinks of the day: $7,50 plus gratuity. Others $10-14 depending... I would get a shot of bailey's to add to my coffee ($10). Margarita $10.

  5. I did go to a free sushi class (day 3) this past Monday on the Equinox. Was really good (and free)

I saw coffee cart a couple of times in the oceanview cafe but not every day.

AND YES, loungers way too close in solarium and aqua spa cafe good but too limited/repetitive choices...

thank you so much for doing your review- it help me get ready and excited (was on the 7/7 cruise)

  6. Ok... original poster here. The story: I booked a veranda cabin online; discovered from the boards was over the smoking area on deck 5. Called to change cabin. The only available (affordable to me) cabin was a concierge cabin, aft. 9301. I was told by the person at celebrity on the phone about priority embarkation, embarkation day lunch, and the standard concierge class info. Never was told there was a person on board to help with dining and other issues.

IMO, on the Equinox (s class) concierge class a waste of money. Will not do it again. When I literally stumbled upon the concierge desk (Latoya) was helpful as I had select dining but only able to get it for the 1st 2 nights- she straightened it out. I did try in person at the hostess station at Silhouette. Also gave me a map of St. Martin that wasn't for "shopping" but the whole island. I had asked at guest relations & shore excursions.

I agree, don't really need a concierge. My original post was just an observation that without cruise critics boards celebrity doesn't do a very good job communicating with guests.

  7. Just out of curiosity what did you think a concierge class stateroom meant? Nothing in your cabin about the concierge and where her/his desk would be located. I also would have thought whoever you booked the cruise with would have advised you of what all is included in the concierge class cabins. We've never booked that class of cabin.

Nothing about the concierge services in the cabin. Everything I knew before boarding was from these boards...

I booked online. I didn't know there was a dedicated person on board in a specific location with specific hours. The location "team earth" doesn't indicate that this is there.

  8. SHIP: Equinox

    CABIN #: 9301

    DECK #: 9

    CLASS: Concierge

    AREA: Aft

    BED NEAR: Bath

QUIET?: Extremely! Had 2 toddlers next to us, never heard a sound!

BALCONY VIEW: Aft view no obstructions. .

BALCONY SIZE: Narrow- it appears this way on the cabin maps so I "knew". but chairs and table and foot stools just fit. Was tight for myself and my husband.

    WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: a little- mostly on my feet, not the chairs

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Only issue, tiny balcony; was concerned about movement of ship; felt nothing for 7 nights! There was a mixture of full sun or shade, depending on the day; no overhang to provide shade from deck above
