Thanks so much for the review and for taking the time to post. We really loved following your trip - despite of the part where you nearly missed the ship after a delayed excursion. In Cairns I saw a couple of people missing the ship and it surely wasn't funny at all for them. Thank god that you both made it just in time.

Just one more question: is the Uber pick-up area easy to find? We will stay 1 night after the cruise in Seattle and don't want to waste our precious time at the port waiting for a taxi ....

The only worrisome thing one passenger reported was that it was 15 hours before the captain got on the speaker system to inform the other passengers of what had really happened. That means it was not until that evening, so it must have felt like an eternity to many of the passengers. Perhaps it would have been better to address what had happened and then departure plans later in the evening.

We were also on this cruise and I can confirm that the above mentioned is not correct!

All guests were informed by the Captain through the speaker system at around 05:00 am, so definitely not 15 hrs after the incident, but much less than 1 hr after.

My understanding us that a 7 day Charlie Ticket can only be purchased from a fare vending machine.

 

I'm not aware of any fare vending machines near the Black Falcon SL2 stop. You cannot buy them on the SL2. That means that from Black Falcon Terminal you are going to have to pay full fare.

 

Please post what your destination would be from Black Falcon and the day of the week you would be doing this. Chances are that your destination station would have a fare vending machine, but some places like South Station may be better than others to buy a 7 day ticket.

That's what I was afraid of...... and the information on the MBTA website wasn't clear to me.

We'll be heading towards Prudential on a Friday.

Where can we buy a 7-day-pass on a Charlie Ticket for the MBTA? At the SL2 stop close to the pier, on board the SL2?
