You have been posting on the Princess boards long enough to know that unlike some of the luxury lines and UK based ones it is definitely NOT customary to simply post the voyage number on here and assume everyone knows which ship and date you are talking about.
And how do you propose to simply "hand off" your cabin to a random screen name (presumably the highest bidder)? For full suites on a Caribbean cruise during the height of spring break there is almost certainly a waiting list; your cruise will go to the next name on it.
Thats why this site sucks sometimes is people like you. I was just trying to let people know that the cabin was becoming available and they could try and get it through Princess.
I can't believe you know all that about cruising but not that theirs not always a wait list.

Ft. Lauderdale , ship the Royal, you have the voyage #and date thats all you should need to get the information off there web site.

If anyone is interested the Mar. 30 to Apr.9 cruise we are cancelling today. We have a suite B735 on the aft of the ship, it is voyage #1710. Will be cancelling after 12 noon today as this is final payment day.

I would not book a cruise after dry dock. I would give it at least 3 weeks to work outsoe of the bugs that tend to come up.

If you only bring two bottles (assuming you are double occupancy in your cabin), there would be no corkage fee, as each person of drinking age sailing gets to bring one bottle without charge of corkage.
I'm talking about the mdr. your 2 bottles are subject to a charge when brought to the dinning room. If you drink in the room no charge.
-
I have never been charged a corkage fee in the mdr or specialty restaurants, we only bring 2 bottles on a cruise. Just lucky I guess. I'm sure it will happen.

The people that get this offer spend a lot in the casino. We would never get this offer as we spend very little in the casino. Princess knows to the penny what everyone spends in the casino, so its not rocket science to figure out for them the high rollers that they will make money from.

We don't keep track of how many cruises we have been on. Haven't got a clue which cruise it was. We have cruised other lines and lost track years ago. Don't really care bout the number of cruises.

I could care less stopped free bees after 2 drinks. I've been once and will never go again. I'll never get that 2 hours of people trying to get as many drinks as they can because there free. Big waste of my time to many other things do on the ship

Good luck! I hope you have insurance, and a good backup plan!
Flying anywhere from NY to anywhere in February on embarkation day is so risky! I hope you understand that your chances of boarding the ship on embarkation day aren't very good.
Look at how many times the airport in Buffalo is shut down not many. It could happen but the odds are with you that it won't. I wouldn't worry.
So theres 34 days it shouldn't be closed 5 to 10 inches in a day will most likey have effect on travel depending when it falls and how fast.
Buffalo Average Snowfall per year.
25 days 1 inch
9 days 3 inches
4 days 5 inches
0.8 day 10 inches

The best steak I've had on Princess is from sabatinis . I had the NY with lobster tail. That same cruise we had dinner in the crown twice and sabatinis twice. sabatinis was by far better. I think it was the chef, the meat should be the same cut from either restaurant. Never had a bad steak either place.

Often the loungers have towels lying open on them but never anyone using them. I have been swimming for over half an hour and saw most empty but not available. No different to the chair hogs at the main pools.
The lotus staff or spa staff put towels on the loungers every morning around the pool. I was fooled by this thinking that they were chair hogs also.
-
There both really good. if one of you likes Italian and the other likes steak Sabatinis has a great NY and you can get it with a lobster tail just like in the crown. Both times I had the steak and lobster I let them know when I made the reservation. It was better then in the crown.

We have been staying in suites since we started cruising over 10 years ago and have never had a umbrella yet. We always stay in a aft suite which has a nice overhang so maybe that is why. Also would be usable when the ship is moving as usually no wind at the back.

If you car is fairly new it should battery drain protection. If the battery voltage drops it should shut down all drains to the battery, clock, ect and leave enough voltage to start the car.

We have always been given 2 bottles of there sparkling wine at sail away alone with some peanuts.
-
I have never had a problem getting a couple beers, cans of pop or water to take back to the room. We do this almost every time we return to the room. Then drink on our balcony. wife drinks CC and coke so we have a bottle of rye to mix her a drink and cans of coke.
-
Should be ok. Phone for internet will work. We bring a lap top just easier to sit in room using it. Its not as fast as on land but never had a problem. A lot better then a few years ago.
-
Another question to ask is will you get the complimentary embarkation day specialty restaurant perk on both segments, I think the answer is yes depending on length of cruise but I don't know for sure by experience. I would like to know.
Yes
-
That is new I always ask if they have Canadian Club and have always been told no. We would switch out the whole for CC, if we could instead its vodka.
-
You should get a small bottle for sail away.
-
We always book as 1 cruise and stay in suites. We have always got 2 mini bar setups before we were elite and after we would get 4. 2 on embarking and when second leg started 2 more. They just showed up never had to ask. We would change them out for all vodka, beer and coke. I would say don't worry about it. If you don't get a second set up see the Captains circle rep on board.

I ended up needing 2 bloods tests done on a Cruise they were checking my Hemoglobin. The total was around $350 dollars with the consult fee for the tests. This was covered by insurance as this was not planed ahead of time. also results were same day if i recall it was a few hours. Not the same test but it should give you a ruff idea on costs.

I know that,
Tipping for waiter and maitre d
in Princess Cruises
Posted
We always do anytime dinning and will leave $5.00 every night because of different waiters. I never tip the maitre d, because he is management and paid a lot more then regular staff.
