  1. DH and I can't decide if we should splurge on a Haven Suite or just go with a Mini Suite on our upcoming August Mediterrean Cruise. The price difference is $2300.00. The Haven sounds wonderful but part of us thinks that with the # of ports of calls we won't be on ship much to utilize it fully.... However, the quietness and special dining room of the Haven sounds lovely. We would love opinions from anyone who has sailed Haven in the Mediterrean, please.

  2. We made a huge mistake (totally our fault) and booked these 2 cabins on the Summit in December. We didn't do enough research beforehand and didn't realize that the outdoor Sunset Bar is right above both of these cabins. Each aft cabin had huge balconies with a dining table, 4 chairs and 2 loungers on them and what sounded like 1/2 the ship's passenger drinking right above us! Voices from up above echoed terribly and chairs were scraped across the deck constantly until 1am... Lesson learned - take the time to do some extra research:eek:

  3. Planning to take a cab to Maho Beach around 10am to see the planes for awhile and then want to head to a quieter (no jet engines) beach for swimming, snacks and drinks.

Any recommendations? We need to be back at the ship by 4:30pm, so should we go to one closer to the cruise docks because of the new bridge openings?

I called Celebrity yesterday and asked about upgrading only myself to the Premium Package as my husband tends to drink only beer and wine. They told me that due to their recent price increase, pre-cruise you can only do an upgrade if all the passengers in the cabin do it at a cost of $11.50/day per person more ($10.00 + 15% gratuity). OR Once onboard, I could upgrade only myself but at a cost of $17.25/day ($15.00 + 15% gratuity).

Once I did all the math for our 7 day sailing, we decided to upgrade the both of us. They charged us $161.00 pre-cruise to upgrade the both of us whereas, it would have cost $122.50 to do it onboard for just one of us. The $38.50 difference will now allow my husband to enjoy some fancy coffee drinks after dinner. :p
