Looking at a 9 day cruise. On Royal website price was 3100. Then checked an online travel agency, price 2285 for same category. Seems too big of a difference. Does this happen often?

Staying 8 days pre cruise in the Tampa area. Would like recommendations for a place to stay (hotel, resort, cottage, etc.)with a kitchen. We will have a car.
Thank you in advance!

On our first cruise I packed too much -a dress for each night (7 dresses), 7 pair of shorts, 14 tops, 3 swimsuits, 5 pair shoes, etc. I had two 25 inch suitcases and a carry one. The one thing I forgot was my glasses. I wear contacts but take glasses as my eyes get tired. Not having the glasses was a major inconvenience.
Since then, I pack mix and match items and take a 21 inch suitcase and a back pack and I wear my glasses on the plane.

I have a HAL onboard value booklet from our cruise that I will send to whoever would like it. First person to reply they are interested, gets it.

Staying here post cruise on a Sunday and wondered about people's experiences with checking in early. More than likely we will be off the ship by 9:30 a.m. I am guessing they do have luggage storage if we aren't able to check in right away.
We are also staying 2 days here pre cruise.

Define "close". Hotels near Times Square and in Midtown East are "close" for me, and there are plenty in both locations. I'd have to look, but someone posted a mid-tier hotel near Columbus Circle a few months ago that was a very nice deal. Any of those areas would be near public transportation. And safe.
What do you want to see while you're in town? How many nights? When?
This would be mid October for 3 nights - would like to see 911 memorial as well as Statue of Liberty. I have been to NYC but it was over 30 years ago.
As far as close, anything that wouldn't take more than 30 minutes to get to Central Park.
Thanks.

We are going to a wedding in Central Park, then some sight seeing in NYC, and then a cruise.
I know hotels are expensive, but was hoping someone could give some advice on a hotel in Manhattan that is more in a moderate range and/or what areas on NYC are safe and are close to mass transit. Would like to pay $300 or less if possible.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Anyone know what the cost of a taxi from the Anchorage airport to downtown Anchorage would be?
-
We stayed there the end of January and walked about 13 blocks to Publix - which had a pretty good selection of wine - and because it is a grocery store you could pick up water, food, etc. if you want. The walk was flat all the way and didn't seem too bad.

I would do a search, but it is not working. I would like to know if anyone can give me a name and email and/or snail mail address which would be best to use for letting Carnival know some concerns about our recent cruise.
Thank you in advance for your help!

We got off the Breeze on Sunday, Feb. 9th and yes, I think there was more motion. It was worse on the first 2 days. I thought I maybe noticed it more because our cabin was on the Lido deck but several people on the cruise also commented about it.

We take bubble wrap and duct tape. Tape the cap securely with the duct tape, wrap in bubble wrap and then put a t shirt around it and place in the middle of our checked luggage. TSA has unwrapped the bubble wrap but they wrapped it back up. No problem.

We always had a balcony or extended balcony but on a HAL cruise we were in an inside cabin. The cabin was nice with plenty of space, but I missed the balcony. For our upcoming cruise, we have a balcony - the rate would have to be almost free to get me to try an inside again.
-
On the first occasion that the cabin stewart introduces him/herself, we give them $20 and then if we are extremely satisfied with the service, we give an extra $20 near the end of the cruise. We leave the auto tips on as well.

We have also eaten at the hotel -- it took quite a while to get the food, but it was good. The menu is limited but has sandwiches, soups, and salads - also desserts. I am pretty sure if you go to Hyatt Place's website for that location you can pull up a menu.
As for the shuttle - you have to sign up when you check in. They take a van and a "trailer" for the luggage. The shuttle makes stops at all terminals so you can be on it for some time. We found taking a taxi more convenient and I think it was about $15. (The shuttle has a small charge as well)

We are arriving 2 days before our cruise, I am guessing we aren't able to check in at the airport?

Our last cruise we received a $50 OBC through Master Card. Does any one know if this is currently being offered and how to apply for it?
Thank you for your help.

Anyone have a recommendation for a place for breakfast near the Holiday Inn Port of Miami ? I know the hotel has a restaurant but looking for other options - won't have a car but walking would be fine.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Jan 30 - 31st. budget around $200 a night
Date and budget would be nice to know too.:) -
I would like some hotel recommendations for pre cruise Miami - staying 2 nights -we will probably have a rental car. Really don't want to spend more than $200 a night.
What is the Doral area like?
We don't care if it is by a beach, but would like to be somewhat close to a Total Wine store if possible.
All help is appreciated. Thank you

We usually cruise out of FLL so am unfamiliar with Miami - are there any car rental shuttles from the Airport to the port?
If not is the $24 taxi amount from MIA to the port, correct?
-
Are there minibar refrigerators on the Oosterdam? If so, are they in all cabin categories? (interior-verandah)?
Thank you for your help!

Yes you can carry off your luggage and you will be the first group to get off the ship. You should be fine! Happy travels.
I'm a little nervous about my 12:54 flight from fll now. We will be on the Freedom in April, have never had a problem getting off a ship early. Do you think we will be okay? Can we still just carry our own stuff off?
Opinions, please

Torn between 2cruises, both about the same price. Carnival Sunshine 8 day cruise or RCI Navigator 9 night cruise. We have sailed on Carnival and have points we can use from Master card. Carnival cabin would be a spa cabin. Royal is longer, would be new cruise line for us, cabin would be standard balcony with $175 onc.
Both port in pretty much the same places. Need some outside opinions to help decide.
Thanks in advance.
