The only Diamond so get Elite perk we actually used was the free 30 item laundry bag a scoop of gelato. We packed less and came home with less dirty laundry. We really appreciated this benefit.

We were able to get a few bottled waters and diet cokes in the theatre bar between 5 and 7, but the crew indicated that they were not supposed to. We never managed to be in a lounge at the right time.

While I enjoyed my Celebrity cruise, and would go again, I missed having the Diamond lounge breakfasts and appetizers, getting my free diet coke and bottles of water easily every day, and a free day of internet. As indoor or balcony cruisers who do not do the drink package, we probably missed our Diamond benefits more than most.

As a  non- related point between the two- We always get the ultimate dining package on RC, but expected the dining room food to be better on Celebrity. It was not. The buffet was much better than RC, but I would still buy at least some specialty dining b4 you. go.

I agree about missing all the Diamond perks.  We just got off Wonder of the Seas with kids and grand kids and everyone had a blast.  However, really love the upscale and relaxing feel on Celebrity.

  2. Sailing on Celebrity in January.  I know I will be Elite status on Celebrity since I am Diamond on Royal.  Celebrity does not offer the 4 daily free drinks but instead offers free drinks during the Cocktail Hour (5 to 7pm).  Is this still true?  Friends thought this had been changed to allow the 4 drinks throughout the day?

I have cross-posted this on Celebrity too.

Let me know what you think......l like escargot too....just not theirs 🙂

I also agree, I didn't find the ambient noise to be an issue either.

Ok, wife and I ate there last night.  Did try the escargot and actually liked it. Overall loved all the food.  The music from deck 5 was a little noisy at times.  The people walking through was annoying.  They need to rope it off so no one can walk through.

    Hi

We are on a cruise in March 2023 and 1 of the islands we are stopping at is Trinidad. I have been looking online trying to find out anything good about it or I will spend the day on the ship. Has anyone been there recently and can help me out.

    Thanks

We have also been looking.  Was hoping to just explore the town near the ship and check out shops and restaurants.  Ariapita Ave is recommended for shops and restaurants.  When you check regarding safety is is rather questionable.  Local reports of gang and drug activity and muggings.  Here is a link to State Department site.  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/trinidad-and-tobago-travel-advisory.html

I am disappointed and still considering what we will do 😥

I'm not a total newbie, but where the heck is the boarding time shown in my records? I'm sailing on 12/22 and can't seem to find my boarding time anywhere.

Under personal information and documents .. then scroll down and click on arrivals

I enjoy it and always book there.   Just don't recommend the escargot, they are not the garlicy buttery bread dipping kind.   They are deep fried and nasty.....and I pretty much eat everything.   The waiter looked at me like "told ya so"......

Darn and I love escargot.  I am afraid I will have to try it 😮
