The menus for the Discovery Restaurant are not on our website. I've asked around and there are no plans to post them. This is due to the number of menus (21 in total) and the risk that once published future guests will expect what they saw online to be served on their given voyage. Menus change as well as the rotation of the menus.
I am sorry to be the bearer of this news.
this is the only cruise line forum that has no menus posted. Please help from past cruisers.

HELP!!!! I will be traveling on Azamara for the first time in May. I cannot find the menus for the MDR anywhere. Not on the Azamara site or on Cruise Critic. Does someone have them to share? Thanks in advance.

i'm very into food and wine. Love taking photos of everything i make at home, but i also enjoy taking photos of foods on travel. I'll really make an effort to do this on this cruise and post here after my trip. It will be in may before i can post.

Taking my first cruise on Azamara in May. Does anyone have copies of the menus they can post? Thanks.

Hi Chris,
When Luminae makes it's debut, will the venue be open for lunch on all days, or only sea days ?
Also, can we have access to additional menus ? The first set of menus look fantastic, and it would be great to have an additional "taste" of what's to come.
Thanks very much !
First set of menus? Can you please post them again? Thanks.

have not stayed in 3144 but have been in the same type cabin. These cabins were added from a former public area during the refurbishment. Yes, the windows are huge. Very nice cabins.
-
Don't forget about the suite only dining room available in April 2015. Yes, the sky suites can use it.
-
Yes, it makes a difference.
Thank you for the cruise law news link about pollution.
The article addresses an incident from 2003, should I assume
Crystal is dumping untreated waste water today?

the F grade awarded by Friends of the Earth was for 2013

Even though I am Elite Plus on Celebrity, I think Crystal may be a better cruise experience. That being said, read the link below. Crystal does not treat its waste water dumping it untreated into the ocean. My or may not be of a difference to you.

You have the "legality" of it correct. They cannot be removed if you are in Select Dining. And no, payment of gratuities is not mandatory but will, however, be added to your onboard account on a daily basis.
The removal of said gratuities, though, is a different story. I don't know if you are aware that gratuities, save for a $50 per month salary, is the ONLY income that all service based employees have access to. Some say that they remove the gratuities and then tip in cash but by doing that you eliminate people that you do not have direct contact with. And, in practice, we have watched people say that and they find a way to NOT hand out the gratuities.
In my mind, daily gratuities are sacrosanct.
To me, removing or not paying gratuities is in the same class as booking a handicapped cabin just because you desire the extra space or parking in a handicapped parking space using someone else's permit.

To expand on what Bruce said, probably the reason HAL doesn't mention which categories of balcony cabins can get the full (hot) breakfast from room service, is because all cabins can order that. With the nightly turn down service, your cabin steward will leave a hang tag menu so you can pre-order your breakfast delivery. Everyone from the least expensive cabin and up can order from the very nice room service menu. Same with ordering room service from the MDR menu (during the hours it is open). HAL doesn't limit the availability to 'special' cabins.
FYI...Celebrity has hot breakfasts in all cabins too. The concierge cabins have some additional items such as smoothies. Same with MDR.

Most regulars here know I've not sailed another cruise line than HAL for a great many years. I had no interest in looking or booking elsewhere from HAL until today.
I have read with interest and admittedly a bit of puzzlement when Lisa and others rave about NCL. I hate the graffiti mess they paint all over their ships and have never considered sailing them.
THEN, today, friends knowing I won't cruise alone in the immediate future, invited me to join them for a NCL cruise that really appeals to me. I like where and how we would board, they are very, very good friends I'd be comfortable sailing with (as DH and sailed with them at least 3-4 times in the past) and I'm actually giving it some thought. it isn't for a while so I'll have time to adjust to the idea of being solo after always sailing with my DH but I am a little interested to see for myself about NCL.
Wow, I never thought I'd post something like this.
Anyone think I'd be making a huge mistake to go? I think the ship might be Dream but I'm not sure. I need a verandah but certainly not a family suite. If I go, what is the minimum balcony cabin I'd be okay with seeing I'm used to "S" and "SA"cabins? I don't need a ton of space but won't be satisfied with cramped either.
Thanks for any suggestions.
I am a diehard Celebrity cruiser who will be sailing HAL for the first time next week (Rotterdam). I am looking forward to the cruise and am sure I will like it. But, being an Elite Plus Captains Club member on Celebrity there is no way I will now change allegiances.....the benefits are just too good. I wish the cruise lines had something similar to the airlines where there was some sort of matching program for loyalty programs. Without this there is no real way to compare.

I have lived in Miami 25 years and used the Metrorail only a handful of times. Go to this website and plot your journey. The airport link is very new so I am not sure if you will have to transfer or not. My guess is cab fare would be about $20-$25.

Ooooh, Sanjay!!
For three cruises I just looked at the regular chocolate cake on Blu's dessert menu. Figured it was just eh like so many Celebrity desserts which look better than they taste.
Oh so wrong! It's rich very moist cake with a true buttercream and wonderful ganache frosting. Oh my gosh! Only dessert on the ship I like better is the panna cotta in Tuscan.
the chocolate cake in blu is different than the one served in the MDR.....and much better.

i don't even understand why this is a topic for discussion. Suite accomodations are open to everyone, as are concierge class, aqua, and standard staterooms. If celebrity chooses to make the prices look more attractive by the addition of certain benefits, that's just good marketing. Same thing is done by airlines, hotels, etc., so why would one comment or even complain about the practice?

does anyone have pics that they can share?

I too am a Miami native. Either place on Calle Ocho will be great.

makes no sense. find a good travel agent or another date.

I have posted a query on this board regarding private vs Celebrity shore tours; would appreciate your opinions, and hopefully our paths will cross on these voyages.
Jim & Rose Marie
private tours are in my opinion usually the way to go as they are in most cases cheaper and have less persons in the group. that said, if you arrange your own tour and something happens (like your transportation breaking down) you risk missing the ship's departure. If you are on a ship tour, they wait for you. let me know if you have any questions.

Yes I would imagine a $2 bill would be a hit. It's double the value of the $1 tips they are accustomed to getting.

I bet a 5 or a 10 or a 20 would be a much bigger hit.

Sailing on Oct.1. Appreciate any reviews from your earlier sailing. Upon completion, we will stay on ship (B2B) for Trans Atlantic crossing to Ft. Lauderdale.
we are doing the same. 26 days!

I have sailed on Celebrity 22 times since my first cruise in 2008. I frankly have seen nothing change that matters to me or my wife. And the Captains Club has the best benefits of any cruise line.
I'm Visiting Journey Tomorrow (4/2/15) in Miami !

How about getting us some main dining room menus?
