  1. Wow, this seems more than what I remember paying but it has been a few years. I do remember it usually being offered early in the cruise and then at least once more, depending on # of days of the cruise. I also remember being very satisfied with the end results. Bring a few hangers and do your personal items while showering and hang in shower to dry. I usually bring a small woolite for this.
  2. Certainly at the least a full day for Venice. We've been to Venice twice. Once by train on our own and the second arriving on cruise from Greece. The first time we spent 3 days. The second we just arrived and caught a shuttle to go to Ljubljana, Sovenia. We wished we had also planned an extra day for the second time. When visiting anywhere in the world I always think I may not ever return so take advantage of being there. You can never see and experience enough of Italy as far as I'm concerned! I alway think that if I have spent the money on a cruise and the flights, whats a few more hundred to visit a place a will probably never get back to. And lastly, but I think important. You will have jet lag and not feel great for a day or two and why start a cruise that way.
  3. Pullmans can either be on the wall or in the ceiling. Can someone tell us which they are on the Jewel family balcony cabins? My guess is the ceiling but would like to know for sure.
  4. Didn't mean to post topic twice. Went into edit and it posted a second time. Haven't used these boards for awhile so I'm rusty! Sorry. Anyway, if you want to reply please do so on the preivious post
  5. Good point about the port fees. Hadn't thought of that. So guess we will just be out there bobbing around till the next morning, or going in circles! I remember when we entered from the Pacific it was extremely early but we had been coming down the coast from San Diego and also remember we sat outside the entrance for awhile waiting our turn. I think this itinerary is fairly new but really appealed to us for several reasons. We really enjoyed our first transit which was 18 years ago.
  6. Not sure how long this itinerary has been going but assume someone has been on it to answer my question. We will board on a Tuesday in Colon, The itinerary says embark at 5pm. The next day - Tuesday- we transit the canal. On one itinerary it mentions 5:30 am. So, it seems to me that the ship would stay in Colon overnight and sail at 5:30 the next morning but my guy at NCL says it sails at 5pm on Monday. We've done the canal before (west to east) so I know it takes awhile after the locks to get through the canal and the lake and out to the Pacific. So if we were to leave Colon at 5pm and head into the Canal it would be nighttime. Doesn't make sense to me. Can someone who has done this itinerary tell me what your cruise did. It does says daylight transit and I can't imagine that it wouldn't be. If it is it would be a deal breaker for us. Appreciate any input anyone can give us.
