Here are some photo's I took this week, of a Blackbird and a Sparrow that visited my garden, the blackbird wanted a bath and the sparrow a drink, the blackbird got very irate, but as you will see in the last picture he got his bath.

I think Celebration and Spirit are identical, we had cabin 12 on deck 9, great cabin plenty of room, very little noise from those leaving Horizons. Our noise problem came from our neighbours next door, when they arrived back at 2/30am, no consideration. When it happened for the second night and we had to be up at 4/30am for the Cairo trip, I had no option than to bang loudly on the dividing wall. Thankfully it stopped immediately.

HAHA!! Seriously, I've changed my avatar over the years. It was really weird though and I was like "How the heck did she recognize me?"

I have worked my way through all 107 pages of this thread enjoying the photos that have been posted and clicking through to smugmug, photobucket, picassa, flickr, snapfish, pbase, webshots, etc. to see many personal websites and photo collections. I am jealous of the talent and organizational skills so many people have in identifying locations (I really want to get my photos sorted using geotagging but haven't figured out the most efficient way to do it without having to manually tag each photo), times and people in their photos. I have been the most impressed by Dave (pierces) for his many, many excellent photos and photography tips. Keep adding to this thread with photos and comments and questions. We all learn from the exchanges and the trials and errors.

 

I have one minor disappointment with this thread and that is that there are far fewer photos from the Mediterranean than from the Caribbean. There must be more folks out there who have done the European experience with photos to share. We are booked on our first cruise (12 days) on the Celebrity Century in October leaving and returning to Barcelona with stops in Nice, Venice, Civitavecchia (Rome), Athens among other ports of call. I want to make sure that we capture all that we can in our time away including some of the sunrises and sunsets and wherever we go on shore by having enough batteries and memory cards to cover copious photos. I have a Canon P&S and might pick up a DSLR (I was into SLR's in the film era with several Minoltas) prior to the vacation.

 

Please keep posting your photos and those of you who have been on a Mediterranean cruise, post some of those photos here.

Thanks for the photo's Of Oceana, wish I was with you on board, we went to the Norwegian fields last June on Oceana and had great weather and a great cruise.

Just thought I would add a photo to show what you may be missing at home, I am sure your homesick. Lol.

Yet it seems to work for you on my pictures, shows Ventura leaving Southampton, having overtaken Queen Mary 2, it is now approaching Queen Elizabeth 2 about to leave on her last transatlantic crossing.

Why does the picture not show on my post. I copy the direct line to image, I then click on CC new post, I then click on "Insert Image" yhe yellow square with mounyain and paste link in message area, but noyhing happens when I post. It just shows the link. Should something happen when I click the yellow box, because nothing does, I have tried clicking it before I post the link, after I post the link, highlighted the link and then click on yellow box but nothing happens.
