My oldest has aged out of the kids clubs - on our last 2 cruises with Disney and NCL, there were activities listed nightly for meet ups for the 18-20 crowd to help them meet others their age. Does MSC offer this? We are looking at Divina.
-
We were there on Saturday and no sea lice for us.
-
We always take a cab from car rental to port. Cost around 15-20 dollars.
My DH does the same thing and frequently is able to share a cab with someone doing the same thing.

The last time we were in Jamaica we went river tubing (booked on our own). We had 4 kids ages 11-17 - they all loved it. Our guide also drove us over to Dunn's River Falls and it was so packed with people, we decided not to do it.

We have traveled in concierge with family in non concierge. Because we all wanted to board together, we did not board with concierge and waited with them until their number was called (which wasn't long at all). We had lunch together and then split up to find our cabins - we hit the concierge lounge then.
Like mentioned above, we asked shoreside to see if they were able to be moved from late dining to main dining with us, which they accommodated. They also joined us in the cabana.
We all had a great cruise - didn't feel we missed out on anything.

While certainly not budget friendly, especially for 6 people, the Hyatt Regency is located IN the airport, so no shuttle necessary. They also offer a
for fee luggage service where they will pick up your luggage at baggage claim and deliver to your room.
Again, not usually budget friendly but the convenience can't be beat.

Just got off Enchantment yesterday and did not have it.

Thanks everyone!

I know, I know, another tipping question...
When you get free drinks in the concierge lounge, do you get a slip to sign where you could add a tip or should we plan on tipping in cash?
If we have breakfast in Chops, is a tip customary? If so, is a slip given to sign where we can add a tip?
And the same question for room service - do we get a slip to sign for that?
We are leaving tomorrow and just want to get an idea of what we should bring for cash.
Thanks!

Great, thank you!

Email the concierge about the cabana.
We have not received any contact info for a concierge. Is this something we should have received?

Thanks everyone!
I made our dining reservations - somehow I missed it the first time I was looking for it. I don't think I scrolled down far enough!

We booked a quick getaway on Enchantment a week before sailing and the planner in me is panicking just a bit, lol.
Our last sailing on Royal was a few years ago on LibertyOS. I have searched the boards for answers to many questions but there are a few things I couldn't find or found conflicting info and am hoping you guys can help out...
We are booked in a suite - does Chops offer breakfast? Lunch?
What are our breakfast options on the last day? We would like to do express walk off if we can.
Does Windjammer still label items that are gluten free?
Are Starbucks coffees at Cafe Lattitudes included in the drink package?
My Time Dining was the only option available for dinner - we would like to eat around 6:30 - 7:00 each night, when and where do we make these reservations?
If a cabana on Coco Cay is not shown as available when I log into our reservation, does that mean they are sold out or do they hold back any for booking on the ship?
I just realized the majority of my questions revolve around food, lol!
Thanks for any help you can give - we are very excited!

The old O'Sheehans menu had pot pie, mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers. The new menu no longer has those and includes wings and nachosand a variety of hot dogs among other things.
The old suite lunch menu had a steak, the new one has a double cut pork chop.
We just returned from the Jewel. What would the new menu have or not have on it? -
I know how you feel as my daughter is 18 and in high school - she has loved the clubs. We sailed last month and I was nervous how it would go now that she has aged out so we brought her bff with us.
The first night around 11 or so there was an 18-21 meet up in Bliss listed in the daily activities. They went to this - a total of 3 others (boys) showed up. They said it was rather awkward and ending up leaving. However, the next day they saw one of the boys in the buffet and struck up a conversation and they started hanging out. Later they somehow connected with the other 2 boys and they all ended up hanging out for the rest of the week so it ended up working out.
I saw the 18-21 meet up listed in the dailies a few times during the week. I am not sure if there was any cruise staff involved at the meet ups or not.

Your edocs should get updated to note you are in the Haven though - they checked our paperwork before they let us in the Haven lounge to check in. The Haven area was to the left just after going through security.
Have a great cruise!
-
We checked in at the Haven lounge in terminal B for our cruise, so it sounds like there is one in each terminal.

We had a Haven Courtyard Penthouse Suite and a Haven 2 Bedroom Family Suite. There were small bottles of Bulgari shampoo, conditioner and lotion, as well as a shower poof, shower cap, bath salts and cotton balls in the bathroom. There were also bathrobes, slippers and umbrellas in the closet.
All of the pay per view movies on the tv were free (except for the "adult" movies). We also had DVD players in the rooms.
You order room service through the butler - you can ask him for anything from any of the restaurants (you pay any upcharges as applicable) or there is also a room service menu.
We had Lavazza coffees and teas in the room and there was a bottle of champagne and large bottle of water on the first day that was included.

Everyone enters and checks in on Deck 12!! They do divide into groups, and the older age group is upstairs, but all kids always enter and exit on 12. The "entrance" upstairs is only used for emergencies, or sometimes if the groupings leaving together for group activities.
Edit: this info is from our cruise 2 years ago, so maybe that has changed? There were 1000 kids on our cruise, so the club was packed, and they still only used the deck 12 entrance.
We were on the Getaway last week and this is how check in worked.
The entrance was located between the port and starboard elevators in the forward elevator lobby.
-
It doesn't work for me either.
-
In our experience with the Upsell department, the price per person that they quote is for the first 2 people in the room, they don't charge for the additional passengers in the room so it is worth a call - it may not end up costing as much as you think. Good luck!
-
I know 9 can fit at Teppanyaki on the Getaway. We were a family of 5 seated with a family of 4. Not sure how to book it altogether as 9 though. Maybe book 8 and then call Ncl or let them know when you are onboard that there will be 9?
-
Awesome, very helpful, thank you!

I am enjoying your review - we sail in two weeks and can't wait! The pic of the public bus station in Grand Cayman is very helpful. How do we get there from the pier? I have seen the busses mentioned in other posts but am not sure how to find them.
Question on status match and levels
in MSC Cruises
Posted
Does MSC also offer status to children like on DCL? I didn't know if I should bother trying to status match the kids.
