My apologies c-leg the Captain was on the tender at the mainland waiting for us and some other people from the excursion. Once we were transported to the ship via tender the Captain along with us and the other people we were able to get back on the ship and sail away. This is an example and benefit to booking on the ship. 😊

C-leg We booked that excursion on the ship years ago but now the cruise line has an age restriction for anyone over 65 years old. It seems that the vetted excursions off the ship also requires this…at least the few that I have checked.

It's funny I've never seen a Max age....but then I guess it never occurred to me that it was coming to this. There do not seem to be any excursions that look that great. We have been some of the other Mayan ruins and things like that but we are not into the beach or foodie/shopping excursions. We are running out of excursions to take from the ship. Oh well blah blah blah like Mud_Shark said.

c-leg5 Sorry for the late reply. We have been pretty busy lately. We have been on one in Cozumel but that was a few years ago. It was a wonderful excursion. I think that is where we became hooked on the ATVs. I searched the boards on these excursions in Cozumel as well as Costa Maya but was unsuccessful in finding them. Thanks for the info on booking directly with the vendor. My only concern is making sure that we make it back to the ship. When we were on the ATV ride in Cozumel it was late. The captain was waiting on the boat at the Pier to take us back to the ship. I've asked my TA about vendors that have been vetted. It was really frustrating to find out that a physically fit person could not book the excursion. I understand the insurance and liability issue concerns. It's interesting that the same vendor would book the same excursion off the ship but not on. THAT does not make sense.

Yes, we are really disappointed in the age restriction. We should be hearing something from Celebrity by Monday.

The hubby and I are going on the Celebrity Equinox on Feb 8 2025 and we have a question about the ATV excursion. I tried to book the ATV excursions for Costa Maya as well as Cozumel and they stated that there was an age limit of 65 years old. I contacted Celebrity and asked the lady about the excursions. I noticed that there is an age limit. There was one conflict on the Costa Maya excursion (on the right it stated that 65 was the max and to the left it stated that the max was 60. In all the years that we have cruised we have never seen the age limit max. The lady that I spoke to stated that I would have to contact the excursion people via e-mail. She stated that if they are not able to resolve it that we would have to wait until we get on the ship (at that point I think it would be full). 😞 Has anyone run into this before? My husband will be 68 by the time we go on this cruise. I will be 61. We are fully capable to drive/ride an ATV. Times must be changing. I'm really disappointed.

We have been on one of the ATV rides years ago in Cozumel and there was nothing that we noticed as well. I've seen people that have been older than us. I can understand the liability if there were some health issues but there are none. I've seen the You tube videos as well and there is nothing that looked unsafe.

I was wondering if anyone had a review on the Equinox concierge cabin 9370? I've looked on CC and other sites and all I have found is just one. Other than the balcony has anyone heard of any plus or minuses? I'm looking for my BIL and SIL. We are on the same cruise but we prefer the hump rooms. Any ideas? We are going Feb 8th 2025. I was also wondering if anyone is aware of when they are refurbishing the cabins as well? Thanks Everyone! 🙂

My apologies for not responding back. Like everyone else we have been very busy with the holidays as well as everything else. Thanks for responding for some feedback on the canal. Thanks Heidi for the info on the draughts on the Beyond. We were talking with our BIL about whether they want to go on this cruise or not. There are some other issues that have come up also but for now we are thinking about if the cruise is going to cancel the canal transit. The final payment is due the first part of December. I think we are going to pull the trigger on this. As usual we will get the travel insurance in case something comes up. We have always had insurance while cruising. Peace of mind 🙂

The hubby as well as other family members are going on the Celebrity Panama Canal & Southern Caribbean on (March 11 23), which is a partial transit being cancelled due to lack of water. We have heard that there have been cruises cancelled or changed. We have been on a full transit several years ago but the other family members have not been on the Panama Canal. I know there is also a risk of the cruise line changing the port but I was just curious if anyone has heard anything. We have not seen the new canal since that last time. My concern is if we make final payment and then they state the change after the fact.
