If I didn't mention,  we did go into Suva to the couple of places that were open,  and managed to contribute to the economy as well as bring back some of their water in the form of the pouring rain.

I dont think that I mentioned Sweet Soul Music from the other night: excellent show,  and the reserved seats for Premier were amazing! They have some of to the left on the lower level towards the back,  but there is also a row in the center about midway that has an astounding view. They have a departing cast and an arriving cast so we are seeing both.

It was a great show as was Fiera and those Premier reserved seats are very nice to have..

We left the ship to find a rainy day,  most stores closed due to Diwali and a cat 2 cyclone headed this way. After a bit of exploring and enhancing the local economy in the stores that WERE open,  we made our way back to the ship and had a pleasant surprise in the room:

Thank you to our casino hosts for appreciating my time there and at Bingo. 😀

Makes a lovely cruise even better!

Ooo! As I was typing we had a very brief power outage; wonder if that was connected to the cyclone and shore power. They are "currently investigating", and we are on backup power.

We were gifted the chocolates too but from Room Service as there'd been a few mixups with our orders. Really nice gesture on their part I thought.

@jwattle Carry on! I'll have what you're having - at Harmony, at Bingo and even sitting by the window watching those wild waves! It's almost HH time here on the wet coast AND in Canada, it's a bit cool here with wind and rain. Keep the fun coming this way, please.

Cheers! I'll take a Belle Glos with Luigi or Taesha for today. Maybe a whispering angel for starters. Thank you!

Vancouver area? in BC that is.. HH time? sorry we've been away too long but I do here it has snowed a wee bit on the mountains there. We are Sunshine Coasters -- unfortunately not the Aussie SC 😏

In the suite brekkie, along with happy juice (mimosa) I enjoy a "naughty latte" (with Bailey's). Check out the artwork.

love the artwork on your coffee! ahh the suite brekkie experience. We are just in a mini this time M321 and for the 2025 cruise as well.. Love the suites as you can get the brekkie in the 'special' restaurants as we did when on the Pacific Princess (that was a heavenly cruise!).

    Good early morning!

As said by Boeckli, no more testing required,  but we're bringing a few "just in case" things change. 😉

We have reservations at 6Head, Pony The Rocks, Sgt. Lok, Caminetto, and Harbourfront Seafood. (Yum! for a Taste of Sydney via The Rocks Restaurants). Planning to do the Big Bus and then the Hop On bus to the Blue Mountains with our Go City pass, but at a relaxed pace, also sampling wines to send home.  (Those of you who know us recall our...affection for the fruit of the vine). We have heard the wines are fair dinkum quality and price.

We were informed that our bid for Premier Business on Air New Zealand was unsuccessful,  but I'm fine with that, as I hear lovely things about Premier Economy on that line. We're looking forward to finding out for ourselves.

    Well, ta for now!

Thanks for the info ! We had ordered pizza from Caminetto last night - very good and the gluten free crust did not taste like cardboard! A win for me.. Hubby can eat as much gluten he likes. We also have a test kit with us ... just in case. We just did the Blue Mountains/Scenic World today - have a rental so that was quite the experience for hubby driving on the left as he hadn't done since our England trip in 2018.

    Enjoy your time in Sydney!

  6. Jo & Tom - do you know if we still need the Covid negative test before we embark in Sydney - can't get a straight answer online. I know Australia canned the requirement but Princess had not yet when Aus did. Have tried to search online for the answer but to no avail. We do have a test kit with us (from Canada) but ... if we don't need it.. BTW - we are staying at the Pier One Sydney Harbour - great place. We are in a mini on the Majestic for B2B2B cruising.

on a different note - what Sydney restaurants are you going to? I've got to eat gluten free so have been looking but always good to find new ones.

    Wed afternoon here now ..

  7. Hooray for you Lady_Jag!!!!

Isn't it so funny how the wii fit chastises you for not working out for a period of time!

oh yes - ours was not pleased AT ALL that i'd missed a whole 4 weeks -- but 'he' doesn't travel well so we didn't take him on our last cruise - :D DH and DS have NOT been on it since then tho and Wiiman is always asking where they are !

I've joined up to the myfitnesspal.com site that was suggested on another board here, quite a neat one as it's free (and that helps!) and has a food and a exercise diary.. pretty cool - you can add a ticker to your signature as well like i did.

will 'talk' to you all later -- thanks babymomma for starting this 'club' :)

    Lou
