I lost track of all the open photos / questions at the same time ....

Yes, Cunard Princess. And yes, the Med. So that gives you a start.
I wondered if someone might think it was Cunard Countess and start looking in the Caribbean.
Thanks.
I think the picture looks like typically Southern Europe thus most probably it was the Princess.

That was my first thought as well, the windmill and what looks like the Netherlands Antilles courtesy flag on QM2. But that hill is wrong. (unless there's a new pier since I was there)
I think there is an American flag ...
I go for St. Thomas, Austin Monsanto Marine Terminal at Little Krum Bay/ Crown Bay.

That's right. None of the itineraries I have for the current queens list any calls in Honfleur. And I don't see Honfleur listed in any itineraries for QE2 either.
When I first figured out that your photo looked like Honfleur, I was puzzled how a Cunard ship could have been in the shot. Then Lanky Lad helped clear that up by identifying the ship as Caronia.
The current queens do call at Le Havre and offer shore excursions to Honfleur from there.
Thank you!

That looks to me like Honfleur, France with the Pont de Normandie in the distance.
Perfect, nothing to add. It was 1st December 2003.
As you have itineraries of the current ships available: Is it correct that none of them did ever call in Honfleur?

Is that Caronia?
Yes, it is.
Thus only the question "Where in the world?" remains.

For me the deal killer was Palethorpe stating that Cunard was working with, among other groups, EU Healthy Gateways. As it is currently written Healthy Gateways states that only passengers who travel together should dine together. For this solo having to dine a lone is a deal killer. A positive covid test would not only cause disembarkation of everyone in the affected person's cabin but also the cabin steward. Since each cabin steward has about eleven to look after there would be an obvious decline in service. The guidelines might change in the future but all of us have to make decisions based on the information available today.
Totally agree: "For this solo having to dine a lone is a deal killer."
For me other similiar restrictions would also be reasons not to sail, like you are not allowed to sit together with other guests in the lounges and bars.
Yet, the removal of the cabin steward form service in the case stated does not cause any concerns for me. There always have been cases of cabin stewards getting ill or otherwise being unable to work. Cruise lines have established ways and enough leverage to cover for the odd steward not working.

That being said, trying to be positive, I understand there may be whole new round of Med cruises released in the near future.
...
Let's keep fingers crossed. I would love to see a broad choice of Mediterranean cruises but I do not believe it before I see it.
Unfortunately the announcement is again very much about "northern" "Norway" "Amsterdam" ...
Let's hope the Queen Elizabeth really does go to the Med in SUMMER and not only in late September and October like the Queen Victoria.

You're all far too good at this game - I haven't got any of the locations so far! What about this bleak looking one?
Beautiful Alesund, Norway.

.. I still wonder about the fairness to the ports, though, with kicking people off the ship and making them the port's problem. ...
From the port's perspective these people might be nothing special.
Remember, they were not identified as being ill, the"only" violation of rules was to leave the group and roam around on their own - just like any other tourists whether they arrived by train, car, bike, plane or on foot.
All the towns in question are open to visitors.
Yet, they did endanger the MSC bubble.

It's Rotterdam. Not far from the beautiful former Holland America headquarter.
