I apologize if this is a really dumb question. I read somewhere on the Boards that Oceania charges a $250 administrative fee if cancellation is 91 to 120 days prior. I also understand Oceania "holds" this fee and it will be applied to a future cruise. I also read there is a sliding scale of charges for cancellations closer in such as 25% of fare for 76 to 90 days, 50% of fare for 61 to 75 days, and so on right up to 100% for 0 to 30 days prior. My probably dumb question is, are those fees also applied to future cruises just the same as the initial administrative fee? Thanks so much for any answers!

Do we get the minutes for cruises booked prior to the change? I did not purchase the higher prices fare because I didn't really need anything other than the internet minutes and have (or had) that as a Platinum member.

Forgot to ask this and not sure whether or not it has been asked. Are we better off taking the table for 10 that we do not want and trying to change if and when we sail or are we better off simply not making a reservation at all and try to get one once onboard? Thanks.

Steelers 36, we booked prior to DMW and had Anytime Dining. We were on this ship (Sky) in 3/2020 as the Pandemic struck and had such a difficult time then getting a table at dinner each night that we hesitated booking it again but eventually did so. We thought when DMW was announced that perhaps it would be easier but apparently not.

I'm not even sure my 12/28/2021 cruise will be a go but I have been attempting to book dinner reservations with DMW. No matter which way I try it (whole trip or day by day) I am only offered a table for 10 regardless of what time I try. No way am I sitting at a table for 10. So is there a way ahead of time to book a table for 2 or 4? Am I missing something here?

We are soon to be ex Princess and Celebrity cruisers as I'm sure once we experience Oceania we will never go back. We also have a Princess cruise booked for this December although who knows whether or not it will go. We are actually considering switching it also to an Oceania cruise to have the experience even sooner.

Booked our first Oceania cruise. Not until February but just wanted to say how excited we are. Long time cruisers but not on Oceania. Busy reading every bit of information on the boards that we can find.

OK, booked my first Oceania cruise! Thanks for posting the pics of the fitness center. I'm an early riser and usually spend time there every morning if it opens early enough. Anyone know what time the fitness center opens in the morning on the Riviera?

Thank you Mauibabes. My mouth is watering already and I haven't even reached my TA yet.

Much thanks to both of you. Sounds great and we are absolutely going to give it a try!! Very excited.

We are long time Princess and Celebrity cruisers and are considering switching to an Oceania cruise and have a few questions.
* Does the private lounge for Concierge level cabins offer specialty coffees or are those coffees offered elsewhere on the ship or do we purchase a "coffee card" as on Princess?
* Do the ships have coin operated self serve laundromats? I saw a space marked "launderette" on the diagram for the Riviera and wondered if that is one?
* Is there a limit to how many specialty restaurant reservations you can make?
* Are reservations needed for the main dining room or are you able to be seated at your request?
Thank you for any information.

I just received this email letter yesterday since I was there. I am fine and today is day #14 so I am not overly concerned about myself and my husband. However, I can only imagine how many other people any of us have come into contact with over the past 14 days.

Does the Sky Princess offer either Planks or Steamers or both? Thanks.

Yes, thanks for the idea of "refer-a-friend". Just took care of it.

Not sure if this is a good or idiotic question. I am booked on the Sky in February. My adult daughter is considering booking her own cabin on the same cruise. She is not a Princess cruiser so has no credits and doesn't care. If I were to book her cabin under my name and number as a gift, would I get the point towards my Captains Circle loyalty status? Thanks.

Thanks so much for the great information. Guess I had the wrong idea. I also misunderstood the booking as I now see I am able to book the week if I want. For sstopmh, it's under "onboard services" on the cruise personalizer. Then under Lotus Spa Services.

Would someone please explain the Enclave to me? I am on the Sky in February and although I booked a long time ago, I just finally got around to looking at the spa items. My bad. I was not aware that one has to reserve the Enclave in order to use the Thassalotherapy pool and sauna/steam rooms. Unfortunately for me, every day I look at is "not available". Is the Enclave reserved by the day or by the hour? Can only one passenger at a time reserve it? Is the Thassalotherapy pool meant for only a single person or couple at a time? The picture on the web site appears it is very small. Thanks for all info.

Thanks for all the fast replies. Always much faster than emailing Princess. Too bad for us as we are only one point away from Elite on Princess and it would have been nice to have for our 2/20 Princess cruise. Oh well, next one.

Many years ago when I first started cruising, I took 2-3 trips on Carnival. If I am right that Princess is owned by Carnival Corp, should these be counted by Princess towards my loyalty tier? I ask because I am just one point away from my next tier and it would be nice to get the next step prior to my February cruise. Thanks for any responses.

Just back from our cruise. Been to St Thomas and Magens Bay many times so this trip we decided to try Emerald Beach on Lindfbergh Bay. Spent some time talking to a local there who runs a Jet Ski rental place. He told us that a few young guys are working hard to get a business going at the far end of the beach renting chairs and umbrellas. He said they are very hard working and enterprising young men and realize that their key to income is through the tourist trade and he hopes tourists will seek them out. Unfortunately, he told us this after we had already rented chairs from the first vendor we found. The taxis drop you off right at the Emerald Resort so most people don't bother to venture further. If interested, ask the taxi to drop you off further down the beach as these guys are at the far end to the right if facing the water. Either way, it's a beautiful beach.

Can anyone tell me how many formal nights there are on the 12 night Anthem cruise out of Cape Liberty? Thanks.

Thought I'd add my two cents as I was on the same cruise. Food reviews are always so subjective based on personal preferences. I am probably the world's pickiest eater and so I never judge the cruise food by myself because frankly, I don't like anything. That being said, I certainly didn't starve on this cruise. My husband who is not picky at all said the food was fine. I did want to comment on the buffet though. It was probably the worst set up buffet of all the cruises I have been on and that surprised me as I had read the Reflection buffet was one of the best. I found there was no particular order to things with bagels being on one counter but the cream cheese on another at breakfast so there were two lines and by the time I'd get to the cream cheese, the bagel was cold. I always had to get in line at 4 different counters at lunch for my salad. Romaine was by the Ceasar salads, tomatoes, cukes, and a few other items in a salad bar area, and then green pepper slices by the stir fry station.

Is the $20 fare each way per person or per cab?
Question about cancellation fees
in Oceania Cruises
Posted
Thank you so much for your replies. We are new to Oceania with our first cruise booked for 2/7/22. We are totally excited to be trying Oceania after years on Princess, but we are also nervous about possibly losing money if we decide to cancel later based on Covid issues. With the full payment coming up 11/1, we are nervous about whether or not to keep this or cancel. We are not really worried about contracting Covid but are worried about possible restrictions on the various islands (it's a Caribbean itinerary) and even on the ship.
