No it's not because you can't buy it on line. As I stated you need to call.
I'll stick with asking for cash as a present. It'll be easier all around.

You absolutely can. Call gifts and gear.
It is not listed in Gifts and Gear online.

From what I have learned, you cannot buy OBC. I am asking for money for my vacation for Christmas but there is no option to purchase OBC as a gift.
Gift certificates won't work because Christmas is the day before we leave so getting that as a gift is not an option and if it's non refundable that is too big of a risk to lose.
I've asked for cash.

Check your prices both ways, I bought today and it was slightly cheaper to get each of us one device. Usually it’s cheaper the other way around. May just be our cruise, but saved $12 getting each one device. Go figure. 🤷🏻♀️
Yes, I ended up today getting it for both of us at a cheaper price. I had to take the surf and stream one so I'll see if just the surf comes up later. But this will do fine, I think.

Perhaps stay off the internet for a week
You will be surprised how much you didn't miss...
Thanks so much for your advice! But really, I enjoy the internet so I'll pay for it for the week.

OK, so I did do a search but couldn't find anything
Do I buy the internet package for one person and pick two devices so we can share? Or do I pick two people with one devices? My last cruises everything was included so I never had to pick something.
TIA.

I'm lost. What benefit is there to using gift cards? All I can see is they ensure the person you give them to has to spend the money with Royal. Am I missing something?
We sail the day after Christmas. It would be great to receive as presents from family. But it doesn't look like it will work because I won't have enough time to add them to our account.

I had no problems doing them online to apply them to my final balance due about 3 weeks before it was due just to make sure they went through with no problems.
I've already paid for the cruise. I want to use them for when I board to pay for dinner, excursions, et.

Why not just incur the costs during the cruise, then use the Visa gift cards to pay off your balance at the end of the cruise? No need to put it on your account as onboard credit, IMO.
Ok, so I can use my Visa gift card towards my account balance? I haven't thought about that before. Last cruise I used a cruise gift card I 'bought' with my bank reward program.

Day 10 - continued
Two70 was still dark and empty. It was an ideal time to play the Two70 Expedition Game that’s in the app. To participate in the expedition, just find the Two70 section at the bottom of the app. It will show you a map with four different masks you need to find around the venue.
Once you find a mask, the app will prompt you to scan it. Then, you’ll have to complete an augmented reality task on your phone. If you are able to walk in a circle while pointing your phone in the same direction at the same time, you’ll probably be able to complete this without too many issues.
For me, it was a hot mess and I gave up after two masks. I did have a lot of fun exploring the different levels of Two70 while looking for the masks, though. I had already spotted a ramp behind the bar, so I went there first and I found an elevating platform that will take you to the very bottom of the venue.
You can operate the platform by yourself, but it will not work if the door isn’t completely closed. You may need to wiggle the door a bit to close it properly.
People were starting to come in for breakfast and I was getting tired of failing to spin around an augmented reality mountain, so I joined the breakfast bandwagon.
I am trying to find more info on this game. I love stuff like this. So it's played in 270 on your phone? Do you have to play it when no one is there? Does it cost money? Do you reserve a time or is it more whenever?

So it says "Gift certificates must be redeemed prior to your cruise vacation. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed onboard." So I can't take in on board and add it to my account through guest services? I won't have enough time if I get cards as gifts to turn around it add it to my account.
It also says about using them before final payment but I'm wondering if that's only if I use it to pay a portion of the cruise.

Hi. Our ship is not getting into Nassau until noon. We'll be on the beach all day the next day and there's not a lot of time in Nassau, I thought we might sightsee instead.
I've been to the straw market before and I have no need to repeat that experience.
I've always wanted to see Atlantis and thought we could taxi over there and walk around. I know there are certain places we can walk for free.
Then I saw the posts for Ardastra Gardens and thought that might be fun but they close at 4.
Will we have enough time to go over to Atlantis and then go to the Gardens? How long does it take to see the Gardens? Or should we choose one to do?
And now, as I look at the map, I see the Botanical Gardens so maybe that would be interesting to go to. Maybe we should skip Atlantis.
Thanks.

While cruising was shut down we went to Florida in January 2021 and stayed in Cape Canaveral (and the ship we were supposed to take was there....). Decided on Wildside Tours out of Cocoa Beach. This is likely the operator for your possible tour. Saw lots of manatee and dolphins. Chilly, but we still went swimming in the ocean and in the hotel pool. Some days were windy and cool (light jacket), others were mid-70s. Hot (80) on day we took the tour. Tour is mostly in mangrove area land side of the island.
You could probably do this one on your own but realistically it needs a car to get down to the boat ramp in the park. If booking through a cruise line they would supply transportation.
Thanks for the info! I did book the ship excursion figuring we can look ahead at the weather and cancel if we need to. I'm going to look at the link and see how much it would be on our own.
Thanks again.

Hi. Back in the summer I redeemed my bank points for a Princess gift card which I put on my shipboard account.
Does Royal Caribbean have gift cards? I don't see it as an option for my bank rewards. With Christmas coming, I was going to ask my family for gift cards to use on the cruise. Or can I use Visa cards and add them to my account?
Thanks. -
Can you order off the menu or do you have to do the one price prix fixe? My husband would eat several of the appetizers but not into sushi.
Thanks.

NOTE: For many native Floridians this means anything below 70. 🤣
A long time ago, we were over by the Gulf of Mexico in January. It was sunny and 65 and I was in shorts and tshirt. Everybody else was bundled up in coats and gloves. It was pretty funny.

Not sure what board to put this on.
I'm looking at a pontoon excursion in Port C in late December. Sitting here, it's hard to imagine how warm or cold it will be in Fl. at this time of year. Will there be wildlife in the rivers - dolphins, manatees, etc. or is it too cold?
Thanks.
-
Has anyone done this excursion, Pontoon Lagoon Cruise, in Port Canaveral in late December? It is exactly what I'm looking to do but wondering if it's too cold on the water? It's hard to picture the weather in Florida at that time...

I figure even if I pick my cabin I could end up next to noisy neighbors. I am a bit worried about being on the lower deck because we've had high deck balconies on other ships our last couple of cruises. We are pretty easy going about most stuff, though. We will be pretty happy just cruising.
My biggest worry is being under a bar.
-
Looking at a guaranteed ocean view cabin. It's considerably cheaper than choosing one and there's not many choice left any way. Who's booked this before and where did you end up? Chances we'll get a nice cabin?
Thanks.

Canada - do you need a negative COVID test to enter Canada by cruise ship? I was under the impression you only need ArrivCAN, not a test. Please help!

What I want to know is:Will Princess allow you to still board the ship if you tested positive (test taken at the port on embarkation day or taken 2 days before embarkation) if you can show proof that you tested positive 14 days or longer before embarkation and now you have no more symptoms?
Yes, the Princess policy says this. Look at their web page. No more than 90 days, no less that 10 days recovery. This what I am doing on Saturday. I have printed out the policy to take with me.

If you recently had Covid but testing positive you cannot board a ship?
You can if you have a positive test document within 90 days of boarding and have recovered and 10 days have gone by. Also, a document from a health authority is good.
Go to the Princess website and read the health rules. It's all written there.

Atlantis or Baha Mar
in Bahamas
Posted
Looking to visit one of these for free. Which would be the better experience? I like some of the nature activities at Baha Mar.
What can I see for free at these places? Can I walk down to the beach?
Thanks.
