  1. Have you noticed any vegetarian dishes so far?

The special menu is offered every other night and each time it is offered there is a vegetarian option apart from one of the nights when it did not turn out as expected so was substituted, I was disappointed as I am vegetarian. Everything so far has been amazing, we had no clue who Thomas Keller is but we are loving the food.

  2. They are being offered every other night here on Odyssey, supposed to be hush hush but why??

If you are not in the dining room early they are gone!

Everything we have tried so far has been absolutely stunning! We do not usually have dessert but the creamsicle was out of this world!

To be honest we were underwhelmed when the Thomas Keller association was announced but we were wrong, cannot wait for the full menu to be implemented.

  3. Hi,

We're a couple off on our first Seabourn cruise next week, and wondered if anyone had any referral vouchers? Can they be emailed?

    Thanks!

Hi there , it says on the reverse of the coupon that "original coupon must be received prior to referred guest's sailing date".

You can email me your details and I can send it to my TA tomorrow Seabourn should therefore receive it before you sail.

Email me at bkm1 @ live . com obviously removing the spaces.

I need your name, booking number and your address to complete the coupon.

  4. Deck 5 forward is "our deck" we spend most of our time there over the last 15 years on Seabourn and the only shameful thing on the final crossing was the amount of time it was closed off due to the maintenance they were doing! We could not understand why they were doing this when they were handing over to Windstar at the end of our cruise!!!!

  5. i just put a deposit down on an ob on a departure 7/18 - full payment is due soon... Can i take advantage of this offer or is it only for bookings made direct?

    Thanks,

    Rachel

    Hi Rachel,

You certainly can take part, if you want to send me an email at jmcc30"at"outlook.com (obviously using @ instead of at) I can sort it out for you.

  6. Could you perchance provide the names of the CD and HM? Id love to be able to contradict the crew on my ship on this issue.

WRT Children: I have zero issues with the childs behavior it's the mothers that drives me to :slamheadinwall

Lol! the CD is Sophie Tehrani and HM is Manfred Jordan. Hope the weather is better for you than us!

  7. Beginning to wish I hadn't started this thread. I was only curious as to what difference the newly created dress code was having. Now on-board Spirit with the first evening done, on every other cruise we have done it would have been casual but last night was elegant casual. We have 2 formal evenings and 12 elegant casual evenings on this cruise and if last night was anything to go by the change in dress code has not made a difference, the vast majority were smartly dressed with more men wearing jackets on the first night than we are used to.

  8. Oh yes no question about formal nights it was the elegant casual/resort casual that I wondered about. We love to dress up on formal nights and are so pleased that they haven't been removed as yet. I just went to the cruise wardrobe and remembered about the change in dress code. I usually don't have to think about what to take so it threw me a little. Now just curious to know how it is on board.

  9. Just wondering how the new dress code is working out, anyone currently on board care to share their thoughts? We are on Spirit next week and wondering what to pack, our usual or opt for more casual? Our pre-cruise booklet gives the old dress code so that is no help at all!

  10. Hi Kathryn,

I will not be on the Spirit crossing following my cruise. I just did not have the time this year. Tel Mr. B that I send my best regards.

Oh that is a shame! We are the same, it looks as though our days of very long cruises are over for a while so just the crossing for us.

    Brian sends his best wishes.

Have a fabulous time and keep posting!!

    Kathryn x

  11. We have seen numerous young children onboard Seabourn, you obviously love your child and want to be with her, you can enjoy the Seabourn experience with your daughter no problem. There are high chairs available in the dining room and the crew will go out of their way to make sure your daughter is happy!! Maybe the pool and Jacuzzi are not suitable if she is still in nappies (diapers) but on a port intensive cruise it would be fine. As for there being no babysitting if you are like me you would not trust your daughter to strangers anyway! I think dinner in your suite on the nights your daughter is exhausted and in the dining room at 7pm when she is fine would work wonderfully!!! I think Seabourn is not as suitable for children who want to be independent as there are no child friendly programs but at 2 years old I wish I had found Seabourn to take our girls onboard!
