In back on floor level or do you have to walk down stairs to get floor seating?

My mom will have her scooter with us in October. She can walk some but not far. We like sitting close to front for shows.  Is there wheelchair access for floor seating in the main theater front of ship?The pictures don’t show me enough to tell of this is possible. 

We did not care for Grandeur. The lack of activities was awful! Even the port shopping guy was leaving due to lack of things to do.  It is a beautiful ship! We also didn’t like the island time of arrival and departure.  We sailed on Carnival Pride the following month and loved their itinerary.  

Mom loves Bingo 🙂 can anyone tell me how much it costs for the cards and also how much for the machines that do the work for you lol.   

So I went to a quest on Carnival... saw things I didn’t  want to and are forever burned in my mind ughhh.   Does it get that wild and crazy on Royal?   

Is the charge same for lunch?

Is there a handicapped seating section on the 4th deck of Royal Theater?  I saw pics that look like section just above floor seats. 

I would call back for a different customer service agent.  I have found some do not know what they are talking about!   If they say same thing ask for a supervisor!  

With the Key we still have to get there 45 min early?

We are sailing Oct 27 on Harmony.  This is our first time on Oasis class and reservation system.  Can someone who has used the Key tell me how to get floor seating near front?   My mom is in a scooter too.   She could park it and walk short distance.    

If we didn’t have the Key how would we also get same seating area? 

We will be sailing for our first time on Harmony in Oct.  We purchased The Key.  If we like a particular show can you book it a second time? Or are you only allowed once? 

Soda only is what I thought the classic is 🙂  newbie!!!

I need price of shakes from Johnny Rockets on Harmony.  Trying to decide if I want the refreshment package. 

Also does everyone in cabin have to have same package if one gets it?  

We are flying in day before and taking a shuttle to hotel then shuttle from hotel to cruise port.   If I came across wanting “special” boarding that is not what I was trying to convey.   

I am trying to figure out the entire embarkation process.  Do you get your seapass at boarding or is it in your mailbox when you go to your cabin around 1:00 or 1:30.    How early can we board? We like to get on ASAP to learn the ship.

We booked HOTS yesterday !!! Can’t wait for Oct 27th to get here!!    Can you explain the process of boarding and checking in?   I am Gold working for Diamond 🙂   My Mom is sailing her first time ever at 75 years young !!!   How do they handle scooters in this process?

Hands down Grandeur was the worst cruise we’ve taken. It was so bad the shopping port guy was putting in for a transfer. He said it was not an exciting ship.

Grandeur rocked a lot too because of its size. We sailed to Bermuda and the schedule didn’t give you enough time. Arrival day you have a few hours before things shut down. The departure day same way left too early. Things don’t open early and you have a couple hours to explore.

Just a few of my thoughts .

Actually, on ships with genies, your room is ready when you board. We were on Oasis and our suite was ready by 10 am when the genie walked us on board, and our luggage was there before we were. Now I am not sure about ships without genies but we will find that out in Sept 2019 when we are in a suite on Liberty.

What is a genie on the ship? I was told Suites are ready as soon as you board. Not thinking we will have a Suite this time but we have 2 balconies booked :)

Sorry you did not have a good time. My husband and I were on the same cruise and this was actually our favorite we have taken so far. I was worried Cookie was going to irritate me because I had heard he was just like Dr. E, but I found him to be really funny and was grateful he only got on the intercom to make real announcements, not to hear himself talk. One night my husband and I were in the Red Frog Pub waiting for trivia to start, and he came up right behind us and just started a conversation. He was the first CD I had ever talked to one on one and thought he was very approachable. But people love Dr. E, and he drove me insane last year, so it's a matter of preference.

 

Don't know if you got a chance to see any comedy, but Thomas Brown has to be one of the funniest comedians I have ever seen and not just on a cruise ship. If he pops on anyone's ship I highly recommend making a special effort to see him. He was not political, which was nice because I am on vacation and trying to get away from all that. We saw his PG and R rated shows and thought both were equally funny.

 

Had the best dessert ever this cruise. It had phyllo, caramel, and god knows what else, but it was SO amazing. Everyone near us who ordered it was in heaven.

 

We tried an all inclusive resort one year and hated it, so I know how it feels to be disappointed in a vacation. Hope you take another cruise and it meets your expectations.

Thank you :) We didn’t have a bad time it was just different from our other cruises. If you went to see Derrick Eason I am Lew he picked on lol. We’ve always talk to the CD and joke around with them not Cookie lol he did thank my hubby for his service ( Retired Navy) that was nice :) Not everyone clicks and that is ok too. We are going on Allure next year so we will see. My ultimate fave ship is the Pride. Maybe because we sailed her first in the inaugural year. Thanks again for your reply :)

Thanks for the great info!!! No worries when I make Diamond or book a Suite :) until then we will figure it out :). Mom will be 76 so I am trying to make it enjoyable for her first cruise. Found out I am 17 points from Platinum Yeah!

How early can we board Allure out of Port Everglades?

Our family sailed Royals Freedom of the Sea a few years back and Grandeur a couple years ago. Carnival had a closer port so we have sailed them a few times but don’t care for them as much. We tried lol but our hearts are with Royal.

My question are does Royal have anything you can purchase to get on ship faster and your room is ready when you board?

Do all ships have a place to keep your carryons until room is ready of the first question isn’t available? On Grandeur they had a staff person watch the Carry ons in a specific lounge.

If my mom is in my cabin can she board with me since it will be her first cruise?

Lastly how does the casino charges work with sign and sale card?

There was just many small things that made this ship not desirable. Talking to others on board they felt same way. Toilets not flushing is kind of a biggie. Carpet with gum stuck on it in our cabin was nasty. We enjoyed the comedy shows , Ketut made our dinner special. We had a relaxing cruise but just pointing out some things so others can know before they decide on this ship. I never complained to guest services because it wasn’t something they can fix. However they sent champagne and chocolate covered strawberries after maintenance fixed our toilet. :)

Hubby and I took a cruise on Carnival Magic 7/14-7/21. FTTF was great we got onboard by 10:45. Cabin was ready along with sign and sail cards in mail box. I wipe down the room for germs with my Melaleuca Sol U Guard. Then we head out to go find the buffet.

We grab a table and hubby goes to the Mongolian WOK. It takes foreeeever to get through the line. I go grab food on other side which is pretty fast.

We check out the ship then head back to room for a nap. This is when the first of several small thing add up. No AC while in port it will cool down at sail away according to guest service. Never had that on any other cruise before. Hubby lays down but I am too hot so I go find a cool spot to hang out for awhile.

Through out the cruise we talked to others who were in agreement they didn’t care for the Magic.

We are several mornings in dining room. Our food temperature was lukewarm to cold. Even some dinner items too.

The first day in cabin I sat on couch and my sandal stuck to the carpet. Chewing gum from previous cruisers. The ship seems like it needs a good cleaning especially the carpets in our cabin.

The Country show had one scene that looked like they were having sex. Children were in the audience !!!!! The last show about rock had similar. Just too edgy for the “family” show.

Cookie the cruise director was not our fave. He talked at you instead of interacting well as others.

Activities didn’t seem to flow like other ships. We do a lot of the song trivia and general knowledge. Seems only day with abundance was on one island day to Grand Turk. 3 ships on a stick made us glad we stayed on the ship :)

Even with all the little issues we did relax and enjoy ourselves

We just got off the 7/14 sailing cabin 8339 balcony. Our AC worked great but talked to others who had hot cabins entire cruise. One thing that irritated me was they turn off or lower the AC until ship sails in the cabins. We called because we thought ours was broke and was told it doesn’t cool down until sailing time. Which stinks because we bought FTTF and was onboard by 10:45 so no nap before sailing lol
