Darn! I am getting a "Bandwidth Exceeded" message on your photobucket account, so I can't see your pictures. I was really looking forward to seeing them:(

We were at Valley Church Beach last year and there was a message consession on the beach. Does anybody know if she is still at the beach?

We went again in February of this year and it was still bus #22. The first time we went, as soon as we walked into the bus area some of the bus drivers who were standing outside of their buses took one look at us and said, "You going to the beach? That bus right over there!":)

This beach seems heavenly as we're hoping to avoid masses of people. Will be in Antigua in mid December and want to know if anyone has gone out to Valley Church beach lately and if you still take bus #22 out and back?

We took the bus in December and felt totally safe. In fact, it totally added to the experience. I loved being on the bus with the locals. My husband is always skeptical about these things and would, initially, rather have paid for a taxi, but by the time we got there he was bragging to all the others on the beach that we got there for $1.50 (they all paid $20+). It was an awesome beach and although we usually like to try something new each time we go to an island, it would be hard not to go back!

Were the shells very big? I hope to find a nice conch one! Did you take the bus out there? Did you feel safe getting to the bus stop? Thanks

I was in Antigua a year and a half ago and am going again in a couple of weeks. We loved Antigua - beautiful beaches - and are so sorry for the locals that they are losing this business!

How much was the taxi back to the ship? Thanks for the info!

We took a taxi back to the ship. The driver was there already anyway (I think he is a part owner of the bar - his name is Almond, he is a WONDERFUL person). When we asked him if he could take us back to the port he told us "anytime you are ready". It was just that easy.

Does anyone know if the Eclipse will be have the same obstructions?

Are you sure that's the correct stateroom number. According to the deck plans for Sunrise 7184 is an inside!

 

The X to which folk are referring is, I believe, a type of film which has been applied to the balcony glass of the cabins which make up the hump on the side of the ship. From a distance anyone looking back at the ship will see the letter X reflected back at them.

 

Here are photos (taken by Aquahound) which have been posted on other threads discussing the X obstruction.

I'm not sure, but if your stateroom is 7284 (and not 7184) as stated then I don't "think" you will be affected at all.
