  1. I suspect alcohol will be served. First, like CruisingFox27 said, there is lots of money to be made with drinks. But more importantly, while KSA is very strict, Riyadh and Jeddah are two very different cities, with the former being more "traditional" Saudi Arabia while the latter is much more relaxed. This is because Jeddah is very international. There are compounds there for foreign workers (mostly from Europe and America) which serve alcohol. Additionally, you'll see women with more relaxed dress (e.g., heads not covered). Don't get me wrong, Jeddah is still very stri
  2. So...the #1 rule with MSC is that there are no rules. Everything depends on the day, ship, and who you are dealing with. So you can literally have to pay for a drink one day and then get that same drink free the next. The rule is, indeed, that anything over a certain amount you pay the full price and not the difference, but what that limit is is what varies. I, personally, have never been charged for a drink anywhere on the ship...but I know from posts here others have. I think unless you order something very special and specific (high end wine, scotch, etc.) you will n
  3. So, something else we agree on...I prefer thee newer ships too 🙂 I made a post earlier comparing it to the Seaside, and while there were definitely things I liked better about Divina, I won't sail her again. My next cruise will be on Meriviglia. Was supposed to be last Oct, and then Feb, and now next Oct. We'll see when she actually sails 🙂
  4. LOL, then we can agree to disagree 🙂 Walking inside was not only easy for us, but *enjoyable*. The only crowded place was around the photo shop, but that was fun looking at the pictures. Like I said, you pass through several different venues, each playing different types of *live* music. Was very fun to see. But to each their own...that's why there are different ships.
  5. Yeah, some people like the fresh air...others like the inside. Point is, two easy ways to get there 🙂
  6. Correct...we actually enjoyed the walk. It takes you through several venues playing music which is nice to hear. I think there is also a deck outside that runs straight through too...
  7. Here is something I wrote last year... Just got off a b2b with Divina and Seaside. It was my first time on Divina and second on Seaside. Definitely prefer Seaside, but both were nice. Places where Divina was better...topsail. No comparison here...more food and changed more throughout the day. Many butlers...I couldn't get to a chair without a butler offering me a drink. On Seaside many times there was a single butler who was overworked. It was nicer seeing directly outside instead of seeing a deck and then outside. YC restaurant. Here I mean only the look an

  9. Well, with MSC anything can change at any time 🙂 But, on Seaside and Divina, on US sailings, you can go to the casino and get money out against your shipboard account. Then, like CarolnLarry said above, your OBC goes to offset that. It doesn't matter if it is refundable or not.
  10. You can use any type of OBC in the casino.
  11. Thanks...this matches what I was told by the rep Thanks...I guess this is as good of an answer as I will get. Hopefully you do get to use that 525 and it doesn't get "lost" 🙂
  12. So...what does "address that when I book another cruise" mean? Did MSC specifically tell you that you can use that for a credit on another cruise? What happens if you don't book another cruise by 12/31/21?
  13. Ate, thanks...I actually saw that. I should have been more clear...was hoping someone had direct experience since what MSC says online vs. what they do is almost always different 🙂 As an example, I called them and was told I could not split the FCC across bookings and would get the extra, if any, as OBC. This doesn't exactly make sense tho, so was hoping someone had direct knowledge.
  14. Does anyone know what happens to excess FCC? If your FCC is $1500 and your new cruise is $1000, what happens to the leftover $500?
