I am thinking of taking a cruise on the Summit one week prior to it going into a major dry-dock in Feb. The itinerary and price look good (probably due to the dry-dock) so back to my question. Would it be foolish to book a cruise one week prior to dry-dock? Thanks for your input. Bob

Just curious as
I just saw this cruise and really liked the itinerary so
was thinking of switching to the Summit instead of another booked cruise. Would you book the last cruise before the dry-dock? I would appreciate your comments. Bob.

We will be sailing on Reflection in January to the Caribbean and was wondering if the ship felt crowded on sea days? I have read about the "chair-hogs" on this board so was curious. If it does feel crowded, what did you do that relieve that feeling? Thanks, Bob fr TX

I, too, would love to hear more about the "Just for You". We don't have all of that OBC yet have signed up for this tour in Jan off of Reflection. It isn't cheap so would really like to know more about the research.

Thanks for your replies. Sounds like "club Class dining" isn't much of a perk for a suite.

Just curious if anyone can tell me how "club class dining" compares to dining in Luminae on Celebrity. I know that Luminae is a separate room so was wondering about the location, quality of food and service of club class to Luminae,

I recently booked directly with Celebrity and subsequently came across a TA that looked interesting so he and I talked. He was very up front about a $100 cancelation fee yet quoted me a price for my particular cabin that was 33% less than the direct Celebrity quote. He stated that he contracted, not sure that is the right word, with Celebrity on this cabin type. Anyway, I went ahead and transferred my booking to him. It was too good a deal to pass up even if I lost the $100 which I don't intend to do. He has also been very responsive o any inquiry.

Thanks for all of your comments. Just received an offer for a full suite on the Coral comparable to the one I had on the Island. It cost more yet based on all of your comments, I took it assuming that I will like the Coral much more than the Island so thanks again for all of your help.

My cabin choices are C703 an S6 on the Island and C416 Club class mini. The island is about $200 pp more. Thanks for all of your comments. Will look more closely at the Coral.

I have not sailed on either the Island or the Coral, yet have read many threads on the subject so apologize for another. For you that have sailed on both, which one would you pick for a partial to the Panama canal. The itinerary is the same for both and the choice of cabins is a Vista suite on the Island or a club class mini on the Coral. The cost is only $200 pp more for the Island. The reason for the question revolves around all of the negative comments re the Island. Thanks,

If you switched from Princess direct to the big box agency, are you still likely to get a "move over' or an upgrade offer or are you better to stay with Princess direct?

The trip from the Miami airport to the Fort Lauderdale hotel was included in the price so that is what made the deal. Not sure why they stated that the price was the same regardless of which airport you arrived yet it made it an easy decision.

Sknight,
The price for the hotel, B Ocean Resort, in Fort Lauderdale included transfers from either MIA or FLL and the total was less than what I could find so it seemed to be a good deal as long as we don't have to wait hours to fill up the bus. Thanks for your concern.

I decided to use Princess for a one night pre cruise stay instead of on my own. Primarily because I am flying into MIA and sailing out of Fort Lauderdale. The price included transfers from airport to hotel and the total price seemed to be better than I could find. This is in Feb so hotel prices were high. My question is, has anyone used their transfers from MIA to a Fort Lauderdale hotel? Thanks,

Is it possible to buy the 2nd day out instead of the first day or pre-cruise? Thanks, Bob fr TX
-
Recently added Pre-night stay in Fort Lauderdale in Feb. The cost was fairly comparable to doing it all ourselves because the cost of the pre-night stay plus transfers was the same regardless if you arrived at FLL or MIA and we are flying into Miami. Just FYI,

I plan on cruising a partial panama cruise next February and noticed that the cruise has quite a few cabins available. When I checked the Coral, sailing almost the same itinerary 2 days earlier, it had many more cabins sold. Is the Coral that much better than the Island? Just curious and probably won't change at this point. I have not sailed on either so my reference point is neutral.

As requested, I went back to check again on the suite amenities and the page format and content has changed and the daily water bottle is now gone as is the original page from which I read, Sorry about that,

I just checked the Princess suite information and it stated that bottled water would delivered daily. Thanks, Bob fr TX

We are sailing on the Island next Feb. in a suite so I called and talked to a Princess rep and asked if the breakfast in Sabatini's will still be available and they said yes it would be. I guess we will find out for sure on board. Bob fr TX

Just wondering, if those that have stayed in cabin 7091 on the Vista ships were bothered by the hump balcony blocking you view aft? The cabin is now an SC category making it much less than the SB's so still attractive. Thanks for your responses,

This is our first Disney cruise. DW and I have cruised before usually for longer than 7 days so we are good to go. Our grandkids are 6 and 9 and they were the ones I was concerned about. We also would only take them out of school if they can make it up and not get behind. Maybe I can give them some lessons on the cruise. Thanks for all of your responses. Bob

We plan on taking our grandkids out of school to take a week long cruise on the Wonder out of Galveston. Since this is our first Disney cruise , do you that have sailed think a week is too long on the Wonder? I look forward to your comments.

We have done this excursion a couple of times in Saint Martin and really enjoyed it. At the end we all received a T-Shirt and a picture. You would enjoy it and if you want to work out, they have a job for everyone during the trip plus beverages that help.
