  1. We had 8181 a corner cabin on the Millie last November for a 17 day Austriala cruise. Loved the room. We took our adult daughter with us. There are 2 closets. There us a sliding door between the rooms making both rooms private. A TV in each room. They made the couch into a single bed that stayed opened and there was also a love seat in the same room. The baloncy is almost as large as the room. A large round table with 5 chairs, a smaller table, 2 loungers and a little table. We order room service breakfast a lot of days, it was wonderful. From the corner cabin you can see both sides and also forward from you baloncy. We used the baloncy a lot, know need to look for loungers at a the pool when you have a wonderful baloncy.

You will loved the roomy cabin. We did. It made it a easy cruise for 3 adults.

  2. We did the Norway last June. It was a beautiful cruise. Yes, get a balcony room there was always beautiful views. It does not matter which side of the ship. We were on the Connie. The Captain did "donuts" (his way of saying a 180) leaving ports at all the wonderful waterfalls. Our cruise had a lot of European aboard and the culture was different from ours. They did not dress up very much. Quess we have cruise for to many years. We have always showered and change clothes before dinner. We were lucky and our tablemates spoke English. That was the only thing that worry me when we boarded.

    Have a wonderful cruise

  3. Yes, please don't tip in Australia or NZ. We really don't want our culture to change. Plus we give great wages to the workers. Thanks!

We were in Australia last month and did tip sometinmes. Had a wonderful cruises to Singapore.

We had tablemates from Australia who only came to dinner 4 nights on a 17 day cruise. The problem was there was 3 of us and 5 of them. So we set at a large table almost every night by ourselves.

And yes, they did not change the culture. They removed all tips for their account (they told us). The poor waiters and room attendent got nothing. Celebrity cruises is Not a Autralia cruise line. And the servers are NOT paid great wages.

We always think of the tips as part of the price of the cruises

  4. WE have sailed the the Pacific for 48 days. As someone said the balcony cabins are bigger thab their other ships. The balcony is a bit smaller.

The mimi-suites are very large. They square, so much larger than other ships. We enjoyed the Pacific Princess. Try to get a dinning table in the back of the ship. There is large windows.

  5. Since I cannot see the shore excursions for my cruise (under maintenance) I thought I would ask on CC. Does anyone know if Celebrity offers a shuttle from Livorno to Florence for passengers to explore on their own?

We have visited Florence on our own many times. It is easier to take a cab to the train station and take the train to Florence. The ship staff will tell you there will not be any taxis but you have to walk pass all the buses and just out side the fence you will find a lot. It is cheaper to do it this was and easier than the shuttle to Livorno then the city bus to the train station.

The is a man who has a wonderful website that tells you all the information you need for most ports in Europe. Try " Tom's Port Guides".

    Have fun.

  6. All things considered the food quality is still pretty good even compared to years back. Maybe some selections & food prep in the DR has disappeared but things do change as their costs continue to rise.

How many years? Yes, quality has gone down if you started cruise 10-15 years ago. I remember my first cruise when our cabin was cleaned and fresh towels every time we were left the cabin. But that was more than 15 years ago when service was always white glove.

  7. We just got home from b2b cruises. The first one was Egpyt. We did a over night tour with Alex City Tours the guide was Hany. We had a great tour.

Felt very safe. Hany was a excellant guide, very knowledgable about Egpyt's history. Yes there was a armed escort from the port to cario. Hany had also hired a arm escort for us. We stayed at Geza at a 5 star hotel.

It was a very well organized tour there were only 4 of us. I would use Hany and Alex city tours again if we went. Would really like to have hany to show us the rest of Egpyt.
