  1. I'm prone to seasickness and motion sickness, and I'm an avid cruiser who has been cruising since I was 4 years old. My advice is to pack both Dramamine AND Bonine (both available over the counter, I buy mine at Target or Walmart) so you can see which one works better for you (I've found Bonine works better for me). Also, take a pill the second you step on board, and make sure you take them as directed on the bottle (don't miss a dose, and set a reminder to alarm). I like the non-drowsy once per 24 hours dose. Even take your meds when you're in port. It'll ward off future seasickness once the ship starts to sail again. Don't stress, the medicine works! If it makes you feel better, maybe see a doctor before your trip. They can write a prescription for more powerful nausea meds for you to have just in case.
  2. In Cabo San Lucas, you'll tender to the Marina. Here's a walking map to the Cabo San Lucas Walmart if you plan to go on foot. It's totally walkable, and takes about a half hour to get there (longer if you stroll and sightsee along the way). Hope this helps!
  3. I am a frequent cruiser to Puerto Vallarta, and we usually get off the ship, exit the gate, and cross the street to the Walmart. From there, it's super easy to catch a cab or call an Uber (yes, Uber operates in PV). I find both are cheaper if you catch them somewhere other than the cruise terminal, and Uber is usually cheaper than a taxi. The going rate is anywhere from $10 U.S. to 200 pesos in each direction, if you get an honest cabbie. With Uber, the app makes them stay honest.
  4. Frequent Mexican Riviera cruiser and Verizon customer here. My tip to live by: always keep your phone in airplane mode if your ship is in motion and sailing. You'll get cell service when you're docked / anchored in port, and even as you start to sail away. But it's a good policy to toggle that airplane mode back on as soon as the ship begins to sail away from port if you want to avoid any surprise charges. Verizon service is great in port in Mexico, both for calls and internet.
