WOW! Well there goes my theory about the original post coming from the crown stating that maybe it was the ships that didn't have Alfredo's or Gigi's. I feel like back on my March sailing on the Regal they still were at a cost. Hmmm. It makes sense for them to really to be free considering it's complementary will at least as of now when you sit down at Alfredo's or Gigi's. I always found it awfully silly that they would charge you for that same exact pizza just to have it delivered to you.

This is the pizza we ordered on the app, it was not like the ones from Alfredos, we ate there on our last day

We booked Princess Plus with our cruise well over one year ago.  It is now listed as one of the perks that we get.

How much did you pay, our ta said we paid £40 last june and to get new perks it £10pppd

only free if you booked after jan when they made the first changes to plus to include desserts, juice and fitness classes which we also do not get

I have to believe that any notion of charging suite passengers for RS will be recanted and 'fixed' in the coming weeks.  This entire change is sort of going through a live, out-in-the-open, beta testing, so tweaks in the devil of the details will of course be made.

Why? Given that Princess suite perks and amenities are less generous than other lines, to start charging $5 for suites would put Princess at a greater competitive disadvantage for something so petty.  Also, to just waive them for suites -- which I'm guessing they will do -- will likely only have marginal revenue opportunity cost as I'm assuming most suite passengers have the Plus or Premier packages.

(Charging for RS for non-suites, for non-package holders, however, is what other lines do -- and it's usually more than $5, so Princess is catching-up there).

    I hope so, fingers crossed

That really surprises me, that they would charge suites for RS.  I haven’t seen that clarified by Princess.  SMH

I just have it confirmed by my personal princess cruise specialist here in the uk by email.

i doubt the mdr option for suites will be on the app.

she also said the $5 charge is due to food waste, on our last cruise they rarely got a room service order correct, or received cold food, even got sour milk one day with breakfast cereal, lost count of how many times i called room service to complain,

No mention is made regarding those on standard fare in a full suite where ordering from MDR as room service is complementary.  It will be interesting to see if this is eliminated.

The bands are B12 and Entourage.

dylan is Dylan Roberts  ex showteam and production manager been on the ships for years

  10. Siroccos is a nice place to eat, haven't been for a couple of years but daughter has and indicates the menu is as good as on the Celebration which as I said we like to visit once a week, don't know if they do hot stone on Spirit that's fun if they do.

Sent from my VF-895N using Forums mobile app

There is no hot stones on the spirit, been onboard 9 times, on the final cruise as well but never eaten in siroccos, found the compass rose brilliant, there are some menus in the spirit facebook group d you do facebook, we do are in a deluxe cabin deck 6, great cabins we prefer the promenade deck

  11. Marella Cruises has planned a celebration in honour of Marella Spirit, the line's oldest and smallest ship, which will be leaving the fleet next month.

Passengers on the vessel's final Marella sailing, departing October 21, will each be treated to a welcome glass of sparkling wine, followed by a sailaway party that will feature a saxophonist and several "special surprises" that haven't yet been revealed.

One final deck party will be held on the last night of the voyage and include a speech from the captain, as well as a celebratory cake.

Between these two bookend soirees, cruisers can expect a nautically themed live performance from 80s cover band Wild Boys and an audience with Mark Labbett from popular ITV game show The Chase.

"We are sad to say goodbye to our much-loved ship Marella Spirit and are proud of the hard work of our crew onboard over the last 15 years," Marella Managing Director Chris Hackney said in a statement. "We are excited for the future as we continue to develop our current ships and offer our customers more choice, and with the introduction of our first-ever adults-only ship Marella Explorer 2 next year it promises to be an exciting journey."

  12. Was on this cruise for lots it was a total booze cruise, the glass house was closed as events were going off in there, the snack shack only opened at 11:30 except on debark day, but islands and the snack snack were open til about 03:00. We witnessed fights, apart from one night there was only 1 show, steel city nearly turned into a riot with all the women in audience
