You would get the low deposit any deal that is current when you sail and extra OBC for booking on the ship.

Log into your account or booking at the princess site. From there look for gifts and OBC is there and can be purchased in $25.00 increments.
Look under onboard activities and on board credit should be there. I just looked.

I would like to take a cruise May 2019. It would be a family vacation celebrating my wedding anniversary, sister's high school graduation, and my 32nd birthday all bundled up in one big celebration. I want to find a cruise that will be fun for all of us including my kids 2yrs old and 10yrs old. Where do I start? Any suggestions on planning, destinations, or cruise lines.
My suggestion is to pick a location where the group wants to see such as the ports and itinerary. Then from there review the cruise lines that have entertainment options that will meet the need of all going. I would suggest sitting down with a Travel Agent that can help steer you to what may work for your group.
Especially for your first cruise they can help you with all of the details that you may not know.

On our trip we were told there is a calculation based on revenue areas. We were told the bridge engine room and crew areas were not based in the calculation so it is not just cabin space that counts to the charge.
They didn’t come out with our price but did say Norwegian Pearl was just under a half million to transit.
Reservations must be done some 18 - 24 months out and they pay a deposit around the 23% range. Can’t remember the exact number.

Do different countries have different cruises? I'm in the UK and in a brochure there is an Alaskan cruise Vancouver to Anchorage either on the Golden or Royal Princess which starts with a Canadian tour from Calgary. I can't find it on line for 2019 but somehow found myself on Princess's German site (!) and there it is .
It's called Heart of the Rockies plus rail - Tour 1A. Price, which is in euros, is from €5426.00. Operates through July and August.
Sounds perfect, although I'm really looking for 2020. Any ideas?
They are called cruisetours and they should be available on the UK site. If not check with a local TA to see if they can assist you.
Princess is very popular with these types of combined vacations.
Hope you find one for 2020 but they may not be out yet.

We are going on Infinity in Dec next year. What is difference in Cabin classes? I just want a plain old Ocean view room. Do I have to eat at the buffet every night? Or do I get to eat in the main dining rooms and specialty rooms? Is it all based on cabin assignment. I dont understand the "classes" of ship/room/dining?
All passengers have free access to the Buffett and the main dining room. There is no additional cost.
For those that book in Aqua class they have access to the Blu restaurant and those that book suites have access to Luminae.
I hope this answers your question.

Coffee breaks, trivia, listen to my music out in the deck but in general just relaxing as I am on vacation.

We are in our early 50’s and during our cruise 19 night Panama we were one of the youngest onboard. We found the Billboard our favourite place and we often were out for the late show.
I think with a shorter cruise you may have a lower age demographic. There was dancing at BBKings but the crows nest has been shrunk to half the space and is certainly quieter with no dancing.
I will say it was comical to see lots of older folks sleeping at the late show.[emoji12]
Have a great cruise.

Yes, and Princess doesn't charge you for it (unlike Holland America, unless they've changed).
Still free I signed up a few weeks ago for water

Talk to a travel agent. They may be best to help out for first timers

We have a couple of packages that include dining in the specialty restaurants...my questions are..do the menus change during the cruise or do they remain the same and, should I make reservations now or wait until we board. as we have these packages, do we have priority for the reservations over other cruisers that do not have them? TIA!
The restaurants menu will not change during your cruise. I’ve waited till I board to book reservations but that is up to you if you want a specific date and time.
Don’t believe you have priority reservations unless you are in a suite class cabin.

With about 25 hours until we leave for the airport, HAL has decided to send me an email with a cabin change!
Does anyone know anything about cabin no. 8137? (apart from it being a balcony) Is it a restricted view etc?
HAL website is down for me and I will have to wait until tomorrow morning to get in touch with them here in the UK
Many thanks )
The cabin per the deck plan shows just aft of the middle of the ship starboard side. No obstruction that I can see.
Have a great cruise

Does anybody know if the Pinnacle Grill on the Koningsdam requires men to wear a jacket or will a dress shirt with tie be enough? Thank you for your help.
I was on the Eurodam last week and wore a collard shirt with no tie during our dinner.

We are at the terminal now for the Eurodam and they have stated boarding at 1:00 so they may be holding to their letter.

And we will be on that next Eurodam cruise. ;p

From what I have heard, they will be primarily used on EXC tours on the In depth voyages.
They may also be used to ferry passengers over to smaller islands where the larger boats have problems.

We have a Panama Canal cruise coming up next month and I am struggling to decide on excursions for the ports. Yes, I have looked at the boards and my roll call. To those of you who have done the full east to west transit...any suggestions? We normally are “private excursion” cruisers, but I am leaning towards ship sponsored ones because of the far away nature of most of the ports and our VERY limited Spanish language skills. It seems like most are poorly reviewed, or speak of many aggressive vendors, or include a lot of shopping or folkloric dancing (we are not fans of any of these)
Again, I realize I’m asking a lot, but would appreciate any suggestions.
May I ask what date and ship you will be on? We are sailing on the Eurodam April 18 and have booked some privates as well there may be space available.

It sounds like you may be looking at one of the new EXC voyages. You may want to look at their website to get additional info on these new types of cruises with enhanced experiences. HAL is adding zodiacs to this ship for new excursions, bringing on specialists for talks in the region, photography experts and serving up some cuisine that is local to the itinerary.
There is special pricing for the next little while. I have heard that the maximum passengers per sailing will be around 1000.
Hope this helps you in making that decision.
