  1. I would call if I had 20 signed up. Once you set up the time and day and place and post it on your roll call, you'll probably find others join in - especially as you get close to sailing.

Alternatively, you can call do an informal one. Either one works. The difference with the HAL one is having the space reserved for you. (And some coffee, water and cookies as well).

If you do set it up and your numbers grow, don't forget to let the ship co-ordinator know the updated numbers at least 30 days before you sail.

Thanks Kazu I have an email into them.

  2. I just set one up last week for my cruise in May. It was very easy I called 877-885-4259. I told them I wanted to set up a M & G. He got my booking number and asked how many had signed up. He checked the ships calendar and asked .what day I wanted it. I asked for the first sea day and he set it up for 10:00 am in the Crow's Nest.

How many did you have signed up before you called? Our cruise seems to be low response less than 20 are interested so I thought of doing an unofficial one.

  3. Red Fish Blue Fish is located at the bottom of Fort Street on the lower causeway. The walk from Ogden Point would be around 30 minutes. Depending on your arrival time the walk is doable for those that are fine walking. There are options such as taxi, bus. There is always a wait but the food is very good.

What date are you arriving in Victoria?

  4. Colfireman -- we are just off the Eurodam ... and loved it. We had a bit of trepidation re the size, but I have to say we never felt the crush of people.

    All the best,

    Christopher

Thanks Christopher for the info. I am not worried about size as we have been on larger and higher passenger counts. I just want a change of variety from the lat few cruises. Now to read your trip report.

  5. Thank you guys so much for your input! Knowing me (that translates into knowing hubby! grin), I think I would forego the UBD breakfast and just continue with what I am doing maybe one day adding some croissants. Hubby and I like breakfast in the dining room, especially on sea days.

But the dinner sounds intriguing! Too bad they don't have pricing for non-drinkers, but still might try it just once.

    Pooh

We are non drinkers and they came up with a nice chocolate mudslide drink for us to start. It was well worth the price for the dinner.

  6. You're allowed soda in a can with the classic package. I've actually never seen a fountain soda served on Celebrity.

There is another post on here where the recent changes to the Classic drink pkg no longer includes cans. You would need to upgrade to the premium pkg in order to get pop in cans.

  7. Just took advantage of the drink packages sale. We chose the "classic " package. This package includes "premium" coffee. What exactly is premium coffee? Lattes? Cappuccino?

    Thanks much

Yes you get both of those coffees. I believe we were able to get all of the drinks on the menu without any problem.

  8. We had an excellent time in Curacao overnighting. We were able to make a reservation at the Royal dutch Cheesery and wondered the area at night and during the day. We also made a private tour for the first day and had an absolute blast.

  9. Mickey is a speaker. In Alaska he does a "real Alaska" series about the places you see and visit. History, flora:fauna, hikes, etc.

he is also great with tech and photos and you can submit pics to him - if you do 3, you'll get a cd with all the participants pics at the end of the cruise.

Beyond that, he's an awesome very interesting and approachable human!
