I am on Regatta now sailing with two friends I have met on previous O cruises. We are all seasoned O cruisers and have sailed many times on the various ships. We are in total agreement that this has been some of the best food we have experienced in quite some time out of all our sailings. We each had different dishes in GDR and Specialties and were definitely impressed. Have only eaten one dinner Terrace, ok but being a bit mobility impaired prefer to be waited on. I used to always eat in Terrace but I agree with others that it has limited choices and is just so so. I have had room service breakfast almost every morning. It has arrived hot every time, sometimes missing some items. Would have like salt/pepper for my omelet but really didn’t need it for just a bagel and oatmeal. As for housekeeper, I have an angel that goes out of her way for me. Twice a day she brings me bags of ice for my knee that is not liking rough seas, brings my daily ration of Bai coconut water that I requested pre cruise and she is just a delight. So the food and service has been great, wish I could say the same about our weather.

They were a little bigger than the hot tubs. I first noticed them on the cruise I met you.This was 2008 I think.

These are hot tubs, doc says no for me. That's why my interest in Thalassotherapy pool which is warm/cool sea water.

I am sorry to hear that as I was hoping to soak my sore back. On my first 2 sailings on Regatta it was located inside the spa.

If you are still onboard can you tell me where the Thalassotherapy pool is located. Is it in the spa itself or outdoors. I sail on Regatta this week, my 6th sailing on her.

I use my OBC to purchase Clarins face products for myself (does not seem to work very well), sunglasses and cosmetics/perfumes/for friends as Christmas gifts. No way would I spend that kind of real money at home.

Yes, I was looking to board earlier. Our ship (only one in port that day) has excursion but filled. Also wanted to board first and not have to board at last stop and then have to wait at first stop for break time. Day passport not doable for me. My first visit to SF I walked the entire city, including up to Coit Tower and a very fast run down that hill. I was 25 then...forty years later....well, let's just sit on HOHO and do the circuit. Thanks all for your input. I am sure I will figure it out.

Any idea walking distance from Pier 27 San Fran to the HOHO bus stop at 69 Jefferson corner of Mason. I have tried some searches to no avail.

They do have solo gatherings. Are you on the LA-LA or the LA-Vancouver sailing? Go to the Roll call for your sailing for info on your cruise. We may be setting up a Meet & Greet on the Alaska sailing.

Could not resist this sale. Just spoke to TA, booking an A3, the cabin I requested for the Nov 20 LIS-MIA. On top of the great rate I used a FCC I was just issued for my upcoming Regatta refund because it too was part of the ESS. A win for me all the way around as I am a solo paying double as it is. This just blew me away. So now to the planning stages, even found a comfort plus seat NONSTOP Bos-Lis on Delta for under $800. Now to book the Avenida Palace, staying here for sentimental reason. I spent 9 days in a horrible hospital in Lisbon in 2019 whilst my DH got to stay at the Palace. This was after my "free" O cruise where I was SOOO sick. My doc thinks it may have been Covid as it was just before it got to the States. My DH died during lockdown (not covid) in 2020. He would be thrilled I am able to do this. I am so very excited.

They did refund me immediately. You spooked me into cancelling. Will go with other sewrvice which unfortunately is more expensive (+30)

Arrive LAX Terminal 5. I am mobility impaired and travelling solo so have opted to use Airporttransfers.com which quoted $90 (tip not inc) to Crowne Plaza, San Pedro. Are they a wise choice for me?

I totally agree with you Lyn. Let's just all pile up alongside terminal to attach tags. Makes no sense.
