Thanks for taking the time to write such a nice report and include the cute photos!

Some people can take 10 minutes to make a salad. We go around them and pick out our hot food.
-
Sounds like Sophia kept you on your toes! :D She's cute!
-
I'm really enjoying your review!
Looks like you have a very fun family! :D
-
You have a 14 year old? You and your hubby only look about 27! :D
Good review and photos!

On another note, but I can't figure out why the judges at dog shows have to be so dressed up. Why is it necessary to wear suits while feeling up and down all parts of dogs?
-
It does sound like a "fun" ship so it surprises me they seem so strict on their evening/dinner dress code. Not that I intend to look like a slob, but I don't want to bring a suit for the dining room either.
-
Good review!
Just curious why you wanted to share a king size bed with your son rather than having two separate beds.
-
Thanks for your great review and for posting the Fun Times. I see the nightly shows are now earlier encouraging the late dining guests to see the show first instead of the other way around. I wonder if they changed the times of the shows on all the ships.
-
I see you've been on several cruise lines. Which ship was your favorite? Did the Celebrity clientele seem old and stuffy for a young couple?
-
We had a great cruise on the Victory...gosh that was almost six years ago already.
Enjoying your review!

I'm certainly not a "one hit wonder". I've been with Capt. Bob twice, and both times the excursion was fabulous.
Then the shoe doesn't fit you.... :)
I was referring to the many people who ARE one-time posters.

Really cool review and photos!
As an aside, no way would I eat beans before a long bus ride in Belize!
-
Great pictures of Disney and Universal. Daniel must have loved all the colors and sounds. Hope you get a chance to take him again when he's a little older. I have happy memories of those childhood vacations.

The Halloween photos are great! Thanks for sharing.

One thing MSC doesn't tell you (poor pre cruise info and frankly bad info from the fort lauderdale office) is that they apparently have 3 theme nights on the US sailings - the "white hot" night (LOL borrowed from NCL - wear white, deck party, glo drinks, glo sticks, animation staff in "white wings' and such).....
plus an Italian night - where the cruisers are invited to dress in red/green/white = that will be the Italian night in dining room, waiters dressed, wave napkins - Tiramasu parade
plus....I am told...a 60/70/80's night (great for us Boomers LOL)....think love in, hippie dippie, maybe disco queens, should be fun
hth
Yes, it would be nice to know all this in advance. How does the cruise line expect passengers to pack properly to participate if they're not notified beforehand? Thanks for the information. :)

Is it true no jeans in the dining rooms for dinner?
And are most of the men in suits on formal night?
-
We leave the light on in the bathroom which makes for great nitelite.
Same here.
I can't imagine being so spoiled by a balcony that I'd refuse to cruise without one.

Our extremely frugal travel mate only charged $2.50 for a slice of carrot cake.

"She" didn't bring it back. Someone else brought up this old thread. OP hasn't posted on CC in 8 months.
-
I would have enjoyed your review more if it was condensed to just 2 or 3 posts. It took over a dozen posts just to get to where you got on board! quote]
That's nothing. Some of the Carnival reviews go on for WEEKS.
-
Shorts, jeans...haven't seen people dress up on the cruises I've been on.
-
Your daughter looks like Selena Gomez probably did 15 years ago. :D
Your husband better have a baseball bat ready to fend off the guys!
-
On a cruise four years ago with John Heald he bragged about how Carnival had "live entertainment" and not pre-recorded tracks with the evening shows. Pfffft. Now they don't even have evening shows every night and count on "funny" passengers to get on stage to amuse us.

Sorry to ruin it for you but I heard the "Memorial Day...raising the dead" answer in every Love & Marriage show I've been to. The cruise director makes up the funny answers. :D
Great review and photos!
