  1. I made reservations for the steakhouse on the Legend and I accidently made them twice....I just want to clarify that we only need the ONE reservation. Then....I got the reply but it went into my spam and I deleted it before I realized what it was so...anyone know how to get in contact with them just to verify my reservations? Thanks!

  2. I usually travel in a large group with quite a few cabins. Since you have their booking number, just add their bookings to your 'My Cruises' when you log into your account on Carnival's website. You will then be able to easily purchase excursions for them.

They will still be able to access their own booking under their own account even if you add their booking to your account.

Thanks - I figured it out!! I wasn't aware you could add someone elses booking number so that is good info!! Just love cruisecritic!!

  3. You need their booking # to access and book excursions for them. Unless the cabins are linked under the same booking #, that is the only way to do it.

Ok - I do have their booking number - so it will take my credit card info with their number (same last name)? Also then I guess I will need their log in info as well? Thanks.

  4. Please make sure and check island time. We made this mistake in Grand Cayman as we did jet skiis with Fat Fish, and our arrival time was a 1/2 hour after the ship was cleared. It felt like we were up at the crack of dawn waiting to get that first tender, only to find out island time is 1 hour behind the ship time. We now had an hour to kill, and no stores were open!

You should be more than fine... and the tender ride is pretty short.

    Have fun!

Thanks so much for sharing!! We are doing Fat Fish tour as well so this was great info. Guess I won't panic if I can't get FTTF!! Did you enjoy your tour?

  5. I know reviews take a long time and effort so I just want to say "thank you"!!!! I really enjoyed your feedback and photos!!! We leave in June on the Legend for the third time and it sounds like they've done some improvements with entertainment and food.

In Belize was the Island clean with nice restrooms and restaurant? Would you say the excursion was worth the money? Was there places to swim - or was the water mostly for snorkeling (reef like etc)? Did they have enough lounge chairs for everyone?

When you went to the comedy club did you have to go very early to get seats?
    Thanks so much!!!!
  6. Look for FTTF in the Shore Excursion section of your cruise manager. I love getting FTTF. It's probably the best $50 I spend! You feel like a rockstar! No waiting in lines, getting on board quickly, being escorted to a tender (skipping all the lines) when ever YOU are ready! It really is priceless.

Thank you - I found it - it says "sold out" I have heard they add more in as time goes by - is this true? I guess I can just keep checking but I wondered of others experiences with this.

  7. We need to make an excursion by 10:30 in Grand Cayman (their time). The arrival time of the ship is 10am - I am assuming that is the ships time which should be Eastern Standard time since we are out of Tampa. The tour operators told us they are one hour behind us. That gives us 90 minutes to get a tender ticket and tender off the ship and walk 4 minutes to meeting place. This isn't my first rodeo but I think that might be cutting it close. We are on the Legend in June. I don't want to buy FTTF if I don't need to. Also I have tried to locate the FTTF option on the website with my booking number but can't. I know they don't release a lot of them but where would I look for it if it was there? Thanks so much ahead of of time for any suggestions!!

  8. Hi, I searched and found a comment that this tour is not offered to the public anymore but only available with cruise ship excursions. Our cruise ship is not offering it (Carnival Legend) so I'm wondering if anyone else has any updates on this? We cruise in June 2014 (fyi). Thanks ahead of time!

  9. Thank you so much. Not buying for the OBC. Looking to invest. thanks again:)

we have paid for two cabins - one for my husband and myself and one for my son and his girlfriend. Do we get 100 per cabin or just credit for one cabin. My son does not own the stock - we do. Thank you.

  10. I think it was like 3-3.5 hours total including a stop at the Cay Brewery on the way back, and yes they work it around the ship schedule. They are great people! Our guide Ryan and the van driver Ray were awesome. The jet ski ride out and back was great and the experience at sting ray city is one you will never forget. There was 8 of us aged 18 to 50 and we all agreed it was the highlight of our cruise.

Just wondering how did you get to stop at the brewery? Is that a normal stop for them? How was it? Thanks!

  11. That was our favorite excursion! Waverunner to Stingray City then off to Rum Point for snorkeling. Highly recommend this excursion through Island Marketing.

We want to book this but here are a few questions. Did you get the transfers at $10 each to get there and back or did you get your own transport. Where and what is the Resort they have their wave runners at? I am trying to decide what is cheapest/more convenient way. There are 4 of us so I think maybe getting our own transportation might be cheaper depending on where it is. Thanks ahead of time for any info you can provide.

  12. First of all thanks so much for posting photos of what you're wearing. We have cruised for years and the funnest thing for me is shopping before hand and dressing up every night! I enjoy it so much - so enjoy your photos so much! Also thanks for sharing your experiences. We are cruising the southern route in March so this is making me much more excited about our upcoming cruise!! Can't wait for more!! You are a lovely family!

  13. Ia Orana,

I noticed nobody mentioned Matta tours with Stephane. He can be found inside the visitors Hut when you are in port. His tour is also available in Raitea/Tahaa. he will take you to feed the Stingrays and then Sharks.

No worries the sharks are small. My DW was not eager to get in the water but after coaxing Loved It. He will then take you to his private Island for a little snack. Some coconut, bananas, Juice and water.

If you get burgers at the grill and put them in baggies with the Hinano you have previously purchased in Pappete and keep cold in your room fridge. You are prepared to spend the day on his Island. His Island is across the lagoon (100ft) from the Island that Le Tahaa resort is located. You can visit the resort. You can go back @ noon when he goes and gets his second tour or stay. He will get you back for the show on the ship. His children are in the show.

There will be another show later in the evening on the Pool deck.

Emerse yourself in the culture and get to know the people. They are wonderful and a highlight of our trip to Tahiti and her Islands. We have a special place in our heart for Tahiti and its people and will always be trying to get back as often as we can.:)

Also look for other thread regarding "what to do in Raitea/Tahaa"

Is there no where to purchase food or drinks on his Island?

  14. I was afraid you were going to ask that:) I do recall that I got of the ship first thing in the morning. There was a booth just inside the building.....they offered a few different tours. It was around 4 hours long...I can't remember the exact cost but I do know that it was considerably less than taking a Princess tour. Hope this helps.

It helps and I appreciate it! Thanks!

  15. I also waited and found the "Faaroa River" tour at the pier. It worked out great as I had wanted to go on an outrigger canoe. The tour of the river was beautiful with a couple of stops. I took so many pictures. The motu was also very nice as you could snorkle if you wanted or just relax on the beach. The motu was small enough that you could walk the whole area. I certainly recommend it.

Do you remember what time you took this tour? Just want to know how early we should get off the ship to book a tour. Also how long and how much was this tour (if you can recall). Thanks.

  16. nikita

We've been to Raiatea twice. Both times we just picked up tours at the pier. There is a building right at dock area with different tours. The first time we did a river cruise tour. Went up the river, to a pearl farm and then to a motu for some snorkeling. Not necessary to snorkel if you're not into that. We had a great time on that tour.

Second visit we took a tour of the island with Iris. She had a sign right at the dock. We visited a couple different places with pull offs for views of the island, went to botanical gardens, pearl farm and marae. Tour was about 4 hrs. Nice tour if you don't want to do any water activities.

There are other tours offered at the pier.

    Hope this helped.

    Diane

Thank you for the suggestions! We will just see what peaks our interest once we get there. Thanks again!

  17. I was in a full-suite on the diamond last month and never got my embarkation champagne either. Do you have to ask for this stuff? Sort of like McDonald's - it's available but we're not giving it unless you ask for it??

When we were on the Crown in February we went to our room and our room steward introduced himself and asked us if we wanted our champagne. He was really an all around wonderful steward all week - so maybe it just depends on if your room steward is a good one or a lazy one. I would definitely ask if it is not offered. Too bad they all just don't automatically bring it like ours did.

  18. A minor perk is two free glasses of champagne on arrival. Other then the extra size, extra tv, and bathtub, larger balcony, (which make it worth the extra price IMHO) no other perks that I can remember that other cabins don't qualify for.
