  1. We just disembarked the Epic 2 days ago in Barcelona.  Ship arrived before its scheduled time of 5AM.  We were off the ship shortly after 7AM. At the airport by 745AM for a 1040AM flight to JFK.  If 5AM is Epic's scheduled arrival time on your cruise then making a 10AM flight should be very do-able.  Enjoy!

  2. I'm going to try to redeem myself a give you some correct information. MSC website says the address to the terminal in Miami is 1015 N. America Way. Plotting that into google maps drops you in between terminals G and F. So parking Garage G would be your best bet. Still worth the money for the convenience.

  3. which lot did you park at? i am getting as much info as i can before i decide :)

NCL uses Terminal C and we parked in garage C when we cruised out of there this past December. Garage C is positioned a bit between Terminals B and C. Just a couple minutes walk but well worth the convenience.

  4. I'm sure it's going to be an amazing ship, technology-wise. Much like my experience with Oasis OTS, it was an amazing ship. But never again! Too big and too many people for my tastes. Others will enjoy it, I'm sure.

  5. because the Joy is built and spec for the Chinese/Asian cruise market. the ship was never ever designed for American people. They are a few cruises you can book on NCL website, for the rest you will have to find a travel agent.

That I understand but it seems awfully counterproductive to include a ship on your website without the opportunity to book it regardless of who I am or where it's home ported and for whom it was designed. That being said, I will track down an agent and book it that way. Thanks for your help.

  6. We are interested in going on something a bit different with NCL so we thought of the NCL Joy from Shanghai. But for the life of me I can't seem to find anything bookable on her thru NCL's site or other sites. I can find no itineraries whatsoever either close in or at later dates. Does anyone know what's happened with the Joy? I'm assuming she is still in the fleet as she is displayed on NCL's website.

  7. If a bunch of 45 minute shows ruins your vacation, that's pretty sad. Personally I don't care one iota for the shows as I will be enjoying my flexible dining, all inclusive drinks and my aft suite or my friends' grand suite. Oh yeah and the ports of call, various bars, and casino.

I have to agree with you. Well said.

  8. There are so many stories around it, SC, that your best bet is to google it.

To the OP ............... there are no cabin numbers ending in 17, either!

Well that's interesting too. Funny what you can learn.

  9. I am new to MSC. We are booked in YC on Bellisima for Oct 2019 and noticed there is no deck 17. I perused the deck plans of the other larger MSC ships and have discovered no deck 17 on those either. Some sort of superstition? Just curious.

  10. I supplied our NCL "Platinum" information and MSC replied within a week with our new MSC numbers in their highest level of "Black". We were very happy and just booked a cruise with them.

Mine too. Very happy. And received my response from MSC 2 days later. Impressive

  11. That has been our experience, too! We were on Magnifica last year. The captain was an amazing guy and took time out to attend the Black Card event - a first for us, and we've been to a number of events. The vibe onboard was great; we put that down his running of the ship.

To the OP ............. sorry to hear that your MDR experience was not good. We had the opposite reaction from a waiter when DH enjoyed a meal on one of our cruises. He insisted on getting DH a second helping. From then on, he had a second helping ready at every dinner - whether DH wanted it or not!

I can't put my finger on it (as I've said before) but Meraviglia does not quite feel like any other MSC cruise experience we've ever had. It's the one ship I wouldn't consider doing anything less than YC on.

Hope it's not the same on Bellissima when she sets sail

  12. Here's some updated information. I just received my status match off my NCL 1st Tier Platinum....I got MSC Black. With generosity like that I can see my way easing over to MSC. Just booked MSC Bellissima Yacht Club for Oct 2019 and can't wait.
