  1. Thanks LuAnn, that is what I drink at home. Good to know about Clamato.
  2. Thanks as I thought Marina was a smaller ship.
  3. I posted a question previously about a repositioning cruise from Miami to Malta on Vista, but am now considering a repositioning on Marina, Buenos to Miami. My husband prefers this itinerary to the Vista cruise. As this will be our first repositioning cruise, your thoughts on spending 31 days on a smaller ship would be appreciated. Should I be concerned about the state of the ship, as this cruise would be just prior to the ship’s refurbishment.
  4. It is not being “cheap jerks” and trying to avoid corkage fees when the wine stewart suggests and encourages guests to bring a glass of their own wine to the dining room.
  5. Three couples who spent 32 days recently on the Nautica, were told by a wine steward in the dining room that they could bring a glass of wine from their cabin for dinner, and of course they did that every evening with no one questioning them.
  6. I am most concerned about crossing the Atlantic in March and how rough the seas may be.
  7. Does Oceania have chai tea lattes and if so, are they complimentary? Many cruise companies don’t have Clamato juice, does Oceania?
  8. Interesting thoughts from everyone. Four consecutive days at sea I have done before, so I would do fine on this cruise, and all the ports except Rome and Malta would be new to us. Friends recently did their first cruise with Oceania and loved everything about it. Checking air based on this year, we would book our own air one way to Miami and then fly from Malta to Dublin or Munich for a few days. Flights from Malta to Vancouver are crazy.
  9. Thanks for the information. Not sure if we should have Oceania do the air, as Vancouver to Miami and returning from Malta may be very expensive if we do it on our own. Also Oceania offers premium economy for a reasonable price on the return home.
  10. We have never done a repositioning cruise, but wonder if Miami to Malta on Vista, in April 2024 may be a good way to enjoy what Oceania has to offer, as Europe cruises are very port intensive.
  11. This will be our first Oceania cruise which goes from Brazil onto the Amazon River to Manus and ends in Miami. Wondering what the experience would be like on the Amazon River on a cruise ship.
  12. With Marina’s refurbishment postponed until 2024, I am wondering if I should put a deposit on a cruise for March of that year. What condition can I expect the ship to be in if refurbishment isn’t done before March?
  13. Looking at two European cruises in April/May and would be happy with either itinerary. This will be our first Oceania cruise and not sure which ship we would like better. I believe Marina is going to be refurbishment next Fall, so maybe she would be looking a little tired.
