I'm here now. The announcement today was that they feel their procedures are working and that the virus is winding down. One crew member and 3 passengers currently in quarantine which is down from previous numbers. I am not seeing as many crew members in the halls with face masks on so I do think it is better.

 

Just be vigilant about your hand washing and try to avoid touching the railings and your face.

I've always been extremely careful with washing hands and not touching things, etc, so it's become habit. That'll make it easier.

Definitely. I've always been healthy so that's why I'm not as worried. And I'm excellent at keeping my hands washed at all times and away from my face. I learned that years ago. [emoji4]

I just got done watching your sister's video. I had been following her blog throughout your cruise. We'll be doing the same cruise on Zaandam, July 2nd and can't wait. I like the song Sail Away also but I do have to admit about halfway through I thought I started hearing,

Any time we are in Seattle, we have used Alreadytheretowncar. We have used them to get from the airport to the hotel, hotel to the pier, etc. They can arrange tours for you.

I don't know if they are still in service or not.

Thank you, that's where it was the last time I was up there on a one way being dropped off in Seward, so I was hoping it was the same place. Thank you very much for the information.

It is my understanding that a shuttle is provided from the dock into Anchorage........

Could I ask where the shuttle bus drops you off at? Is it the Holland Welcome Center downtown? I've rented a car from Avis downtown so that would work perfect for walking to Avis to pick-up the car, if that's where they drop us off.

I’m onboard the Zaandam right now, and the Crow’s Nest is still lovely. All new seating surfaces and no EXC nonsense. Thank goodness HAL kept her Crow’s Nest the same.

I booked a later flight through HAL leaving at 11:35, getting in at 7pm... most of them don't get in till around 10:30 and 11:45 p.m. so this is better.

Looking forward to the July 2nd Cruise. Getting excited!

Here is what I advocate...rent a car and drive home. Leave Monday mid-morning and you should be home late Tuesday.
