  1. On my NZeTA app it says "This NZeTA authorises you to travel to or transit New Zealand"

the wording on the email authorising

Your New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) has been issued.

You are now authorised to travel to New Zealand or to pass through Auckland International Airport as a transit passenger while you are on your way to another country.

When you travel to New Zealand, you must check in with the passport listed here.

    hope this helps

  3. We have just returned from our world cruise on Queen Mary 2 and on the 21st February were docked in Phu My in Vietnam. A small group of us booked the Ho Chi Minh city tour with trishaw ride our guide was Ben.

We were met at the port gate, which we had to get to from the ship, and travelled to the heart of the city. Ben was a very good guide and kept us entertained on the journey, and our driver kept our belongings safe. We visited a Pagoda, Lacquerware factory, coffee at a local cafe. Lunch was traditional Vietnamese and very well presented, the highlight was the trishaw ride through the city, Ben turned up in different places to take pictures and videos. We then had free time at the market to barter with the locals for any souvenirs. Ben got us back to the ship in plenty of time a superb and well organised private tour that I will fully recommend

  4. Booked a sector of the world from Sydney to Southampton thence to circumstances changed to the full world Southampton - Southampton. I would say this is an upgrade, tried to change to QV as on QM2 world in 2023. No can do as already done a transfer from a sector to the world? Also have FCC in the cost of the cruise. Customer service not even responded

  5. On docking at Southampton in January after our QM2 Xmas cruise, border force where on the ship and checking that the PLF was completed before allowing passengers off.

  6. It is expected that the PLF will change on the 16th February according to the travel press, i would try putting in 000 for the code and see what comes back

Sorry to ask this again, but do you know why you were allowed to isolate in your cabin, rather than going to the quarantine area?

As far as we know we were in a balcony cabin so were left there, don't know if the isolation cabins were full. Had a friend on a different ship with 2 days to go got moved to a balcony i think for fresh air

  8. Just back off QM2 there are isolation cabins which you are moved to, however we were positive and stayed in our cabin, Meals served to you we had a call at 830pm for our breakfast order and during the night the lunch and dinner menu was posted under the door. Then called mid morning to order, you can also use the room service menu

    Your interpretation is wrong.

As your quoted text states, the test can be taken “in the 2 days before their journey to England departs”.

That is not the same as “48 hours before arrival”. Not just semantics - a material difference.

I do not think I am wrong there are now 2 tests 1 to take before flying in to the UK and then your PCR test within 2 days of entering. Cunard will do the 1st test prior to docking as required by the UK goverment

Before you travel to England you must:

  10. With the need to take a test 48 hours before arrival back into the UK I have lifted this from the Cunard website

From Tuesday 7 December (GMT) onwards, all people aged 12 years and over must take a PCR or LF (lateral flow) Covid-19 test before they travel to England from abroad. They must take the test in the 2 days before their journey to England departs.

    • For those people on a cruise returning to Southampton, this can be provided and organised on board at a cost of $25. This will be charged to your on board account.

Further to our post about being excited about our trip on QM2.  As UK citizens, we are required to fill in a Passenger Locator Form before returning to the UK.  Has anyone already filled in one of these and can inform us of what questions are asked?

Hi You cannot complete the PLF until 21 days before returning to the UK. I have created accounts for us both on Gov.uk to give us easier access to the form. I have attached the Cunard guide to the form if this helps? Also remember you need your unique codes for the PCR test to put in the PLF, you need to create a form for all passengers in your party.

  12. We ordered LFT but then when the rules changed we were given a credit towards the PCR and kept the LFT which we now can use. The company also kept our original code and would inform UK government that we had changed. Cost was £54 this is now £74 bit of a rip-off.
