I have an unlimited dining package for a TA on Symphony OTS with a lot of sea days. Theoretically, if I wanted to, could I have both lunch and dinner at a specialty restaurant on the same day or is it either lunch or dinner per day? Thanks. Anne

Every sea day lunch and all dinners, including embarkation day.  The reason it is "unlimited" is that you can go to multiple restaurants if you want on the same day.  I never felt the need because you get plenty of food but if you wanted to go somewhere different for dessert or whatever, you could.

  2. Log into your cruise planner online and you can see all the pricing of individual meals vs dining packages.  Keep in mind they have sales all the time and the prices will fluctuate.  We prefer the unlimited dining which gives us access as much as we want daily to all of the specialty dining.  We are on Wonder of the Seas 1/21/24.  As an example here's the pricing now:

unlimited $287.99 per person (regular price $384.99)

    3 night $131.99

Chops Grill (our favorite steak) $57.99

    Giovanni's Italian $44.99

    Izumi $35.99

    Hooked Seafood $48.99

    150 Central Park $57.99

    Izumi Hibachi $57.99

    Wonderland $53.99

    The Mason Jar $39.99

These are all per person and sale pricing for our sailing.  Lunch pricing is cheaper.  So if you get a package you can eat at all of these places lunch on sea days and dinners.

Not available to book for any of our 2024 sailings either.

Not sold out as that would show as such, just not available to book

We check regularly as well 😎

I’m going to make an assumption and this is purely a thought with no data or evidence or facts.

They are waiting for the Adults only beach to be complete before they strategize if anyone will still want to use the beach club. And if new beach is free how will they still attract PAX

    Hopefully they reduce price 🤣

I didn't know they were making an adults only beach?  We've missed Coco Cay before due to weather so we are really looking forward to visiting the island and hopefully the beach club.  Thanks for the info.

  4. I've been wondering about this too since we sail 1/21/24 and I watch daily for the Beach Club passes.  Someone said they are trying to sell the cabanas first before they add the Beach Club but I don't know if that's true. I'll just keep watching.

  5. We had the WOW bands and loved them.  You can use them on multiple ships if they use them and so convenient.  You don't have to worry about carrying your card around to the pool, or wherever you might be.  You do still have to have the card to get on and off the ship but that's ok.  They used to be only $5.  Not sure how much they are now.

  6. We are booked on an excursion on the Fan-ta-Sea through Royal Caribbean.  It looks like it might be on the Bluewater Safari since that comes up with I search the name.  I've read some bad reviews on here and just want to see what others have experienced.  I figured it would be better booked through the ship since I read a couple of posts about Blue Water not showing up or honoring the booking.  Also if booked through the ship is alcohol included?  It doesn't say if it is on Royal's website.

    Thanks.

  7. The private tour is awesome.  We've been to Pinel Island a couple of times.  We wanted to make sure no problems getting back to the ship in time with all the traffic.  It's more private and secluded than the touristy beaches and you have to take a boat to get across to it.  (unless you want to take a kayak).  LOL  The private tour definitely lets you customize what you want to do and how long you stay.  We usually organize a group in our roll call for this.  I think we had over 30 people last time. The only downside to that is not everyone showed up like they were supposed to and you have no way of knowing who the people even are that wanted to go.

How do you find that info?  On RCI web site?

By experience.  Just keep watching your cruise planner.  They have sales all the time.  Just keep in mind that sometimes when they say it's a "sale" they mean off the ship's price, not what is normally in your cruise planner.  Sometimes it's actually the same thing they were quoting before the sale.  LOL

That's fine if all you are considering is the alcohol but since non-alcoholic drinks are included in the package that has to be factored in also. As I pointed out above I'm good for two specialty coffees a day which is (as I understand it) about $10, so that doesn't leave me having to drink that much just to break even. I am also looking at the fact that I have 4 days to use the package throughout the day (3 sea days and Coco Cay). On our last cruise we had a total bar bill of around $750 and we didn't skimp and $750 is what we are paying for the DBP. Wanting to break even is applying logic to the purchase because if one isn't going to break even then it doesn't make sense to purchase it.

I agree with you 100%  People just don't get that this is not all about alcohol.  We drink a lot of bottled water and get those large bottles at dinner of San Peligrino or Aquapauna.  Those are at least $5 and you can get the large bottles during the day to take to your room or off the ship with you of Evian.  Then there's the fresh squeezed juices, mimosas at breakfast and if you go to a private island it's all included and free.  I am not a big drinker but I want the convenience and know it's all paid for ahead of time with no worries about a big bill at the end of the day.  Also, you don't have to buy for each person in the cabin if one doesn't drink for whatever reason.  Last time I couldn't because I was on medicine, called them up and no problem, just buy the refreshment package.  And did I mention that it also includes milk shakes??  It's a no brainer really if you are going to drink all of those things, water, soda, fresh juice, energy drinks, vitamin water, martinis, wine, frozen drinks, drinks of the day, beer, etc.  GO FOR IT.  It's your vacation enjoy and have fun.

  10. I absolutely recommend Bernard.  We use him every single time we are on St. Martin and we have stopped here a lot cruising over the years.  Mailman is excellent and the value for your money is cheaper than renting a car (and worrying about traffic, which is a lot, trying to find your way around and getting back to the ship on time) or getting a taxi.  We always do the Tour #2 or a private tour.  We've been to many beaches here.  The tour gives you two beach stops, Orient or Grand Case and a stop at Maho beach to watch the big planes land over your head.  You also stop at an iguana farm and Marigot for pastries.  And did I mention their famous rum punch?  You can't beat the price.  It's rated #1 on trip advisor.

Deck 8 will probably be like Goldilock's balcony.... just right!

It's low enough that you don't have to worry about noise from the pool deck, and it's high enough that you don't have to worry about smoke from the smoking deck (sorry, didn't look to see if you're on the port or starboard side... a balcony above or below the outside smoking areas would be a deal-breaker for me!).

    Enjoy!

I’m on the port side which is a first but only cabin available. Right around the corner from Park Cafe and close to elevators.

Do the larger balconies get a get a lounge chair? How do you know which cabins have the bed by the window?

  13. Our sailing had a large price drop and I was able to upgrade to a ocean view balcony with the larger balcony for free. It is on deck 8. This is our first time on this ship. Is this a good deck to be on with no noise? I’ve tried finding pictures of the cabin 8198 with no luck. Any tips or advice is welcome as we sail 12/9. I did make reservations for the shows and bought the dining and beverage package.

    Thanks!

  14. I didn't know cruise critic had a page showing price drops.  I just go to Royal's website and act like I'm booking and it gives me the price.

The Jr Suite actually came way down in price.  About $600 from when I booked my balcony originally.  It's only $400 more than my ocean view balcony now.
