To summarize, I will leave Quebec City on April 12th on a direct flight to Orlando. From April 12th to the 20th, I will be staying at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. Then, on April 20th, I will take the Brightline train from Orlando to Miami where I will be staying for one night. Finally, on April 21st, I will board the Oasis of the Seas for the transatlantic.

Welcome!  I am originally from Montreal, never been to Quebec City but thinking of going mid -May.  After I return from this TA cruise 🙂

I was at Disney World in Sep 2022 and I would highly recommend Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot.  I'm sure you know which rides require virtual queue, Genie+, etc. Tron was not open yet. Remy is also a must.  Star Wars at Hollywood Studios is also amazing.

Just curious, what airline are you flying from BCN to Canada? I've found that Air Transat has cheap flights from Portugal to Canada usually.

Holding out but do not want to wait too long as the pricing for other cruises released are all pretty high and waiting usually means higher pricing and as we are in Canada... the pricing is all a lot higher than what our US friends are paying in US dollars.

I've noticed the same.  Better to pay in USD with a Canadian CC that doesn't charge an exchange fee? But usually those don't come with good travel insurance 🤔

I am not sure about the solarium - but as much as I know there´s a certain time when kids are allowed.

The buffet had some Japanes dishes sometime and one Ramen day. Otherwise no.
But the restaurants in Japan are great - go try local.

Thanks.  Good to know they have some hours for kids in case the weather is too cold for the main pool

  4. Any thoughts on which ship/itinerary is better?  All I know is the Celebrity ship is a lot smaller but with so many ports I won't be spending much time on board.  I also believe the Celebrity ship has been renovated recently so aesthetically is more modern.

    Celebrity Millennium 12 days:

Tokyo - At Sea - Osaka (Kyoto) - Osaka (Kyoto) - Kochi - Hiroshima - At Sea - Jeju Island - Nagasaki - Kigoshima - At Sea - Shimizu - Tokyo

    Diamond Princess 10 days:

    Tokyo - At Sea - Beppu - Miyazaki - Kagoshima - Nagasaki - Busan - Sasebo - At Sea - Toba - Tokyo

I haven't been on Celebration, but after sailing on Mardi Gras, no ship of that class will get a recommendation from me.  Too many people and not enough public space.  I was on it while cruising was still limited to 60% and the piano bar and comedy clubs were still packed and many people couldn't get in.  Pizza line stretched back to guest services.  Rooms were narrower and the bathrooms were tiny.  i greatly prefer the Vista class ships and have been on them 5 times with a 6th coming up.  Plus the ABC islands are far better than that Celebration itinerary.

Thanks. I was afraid the Celebration might be too overcrowded.  I'm booked on the Venezia and that one seems crowded too (based on passenger capacity and size of ship) so I guess we will see.
